The spread collar and tie are good, and the suede shoes are a flashy touch as the Duke of Windsor used to wear.
What I don’t like is that there is no shirt cuff to be seen, his belt should be a dark brown or crocodile rather than black, his watch belongs on the wrist, not on the suit jacket(!) and a big stainless watch is too inelegant for that outfit.
don’t forget these are not posed or staged photos, things like shirt cuffs are not always visible every second of every day. Domenico has a great personal style and all the things you mentioned as bad I think actually work quite well for him
But it appears he’s wearing a big stainless watch over his suit jacket. I don’t think that demonstrates style in this instance, though it may have worked for Flava Flav.
He looks great. A beautiful smile. This photo shows a person of great warmth.
Mr. S., you made the point once that you like to highlight folks of style who do not ever make it into any fashion magazine. He is a example of such a person. I want to smile back at him.
thank you for all your comments and thank you and bravo to the sartorialist for this great blog. I am so glad and happy to see that many of you share my passion for style and quality. thank you very much. few infos: suit is brown, belt is choccolate brown alligator, watch is a rolex daytona and i like to show my shirt cuffs and also the day of the picture my shirt cuffs were longer but while i was running on the street to a meeting my cuffs got pulled under the sleeve of the jacket when S shot me!
Love that he commented! Needs a much more interesting tie, tho. As far as belts… if a gentleman can’t closely match his shoe color, a black belt is the appropriate choice. Thanks!

I’m not digging the chain near his belt, and why isn’t he showing cuff? His jacket sleeve length looks good, are his shirt sleeves too short?
The suede shoes look wonderful with the suit.

isnt the belt color suppose to be the same as the shoes- it makes the shoes look odd i think.

A dark brown belt would be a much better match with the shoes.
A well tailored suit and beautiful shoes.

No doubt he has style, as his stores also attest.

hi pants are 1/2 millimeter too short and his tie is 1/4 millimeter off-center, but other than those obvious faux-paus he looks smashing

In other words, Mr. Vacca so politely told his detractors to f*** off. I’m sure he could care less, he knows he’s stylish. Spezzatura.
