AAh, a nice layered New York look, I had missed them! New-yorkers are very confident in their style quirkiness, without going overboard, like Londoners have a tendency to do…

Yes, great vintage Koos van Der Akker coat! I had one, got bored of it , and sold it on eBay…silly girl! That said, I think Koos has been a great unsung influence on many current designers- his pattern mixing, interesting seaming, hand-crafted and folkloric influence…you see it everywhere! Maybe that is why vintage Koos has gone thru the roof in terms of prices…you used to be able to get it for a song on eBay…no more!
An interesting feature would be “forgotten designers who are stealth influences now…”

Her attitude and cool confidence completely transform her clothes from everyday to extraordinary (the coat being the exception, it’s quite unique). Without those intangible accessories, the magic of this look is lost.
I am going to say that I do not like the coat, it looks like a quilt with sleeves… The layering of the tops is also a bit too “messy” for my liking. I am just going to say that it is not in my taste. To each their own.
My late mother was a sample maker for koos . I still have some of his fashionshow folder with the pictures of his design that my mother kept & a couple of pieces of his work that I still wear
