On the Street…Cricket Player, Mumbai

112916CricketC0316IG

Watching a pickup cricket match and finally found a real New York Yankee at bat!!!

If it looks like that hard red leather ball is coming right at me it’s because it was!!

Right after this frame I think I was hit by the ball, a fielder, and my guide all at once as we all tried to handle our respective duties but we all came through with no majors injuries !

Not a lot of people play Cricket anywhere, I don’t think. He is dressed really cool though. Kind of reminds me of lacrosse, but I can’t think of why, as they wear shorts. It should remind me of baseball, which I love to watch. But his crisp black and white duds just look too upscale for good old baseball.

The main cricketing nations are Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe. It’s also played in many other countries.

In cricketing terms that a square cut. When you have some time look up cricketing shots and fielding positions. Lucky it didn’t whack you in the head. I’ve had to rewire teeth after getting smacked with a cricket ball.

Ha! Cheers for saving that boundary! I am sure it must be a challenge holding the camera and seeing the ball race towards you at backward square leg.
