Scott I’ve got to call you out on one thing. It’s Miami Beach not Miami. Miami is the city on the bay while Miami Beach, a separate city, is on the Ocean. It’s like the difference between Boston & Cambridge or San Francisco & Berkeley. TIA –Rich
All combined: clothing, sunglasses, shoes and even a tattoo! Good thing we have with us this spring. Fortunately a little different colors and textures of our ffblogs.
Engaging photo. They say every picture tells a story….seems like more than one is being told here. Like the white and “innocent vibe” with the body ink. Oh, how does it end.
What I like about that tattoo is it looks like a print on fabric! I like the space between the roses and leaves, different than how crowded large tattoos can look. I’m loving these Miami shots!
I love white for summer, it seems to be going strong again this summer, if the pics are to judge. There is nothing too edgy in this look, except maybe the tattoos, but she looks thought out and put together. I’m usually very anti-tattoo but these looked great and enhanced her look, rather than distracted from her look. This really makes me excited for summer!

I predict the next generation will have the option of temporary tattoos. Paint them on, and they wash off with a special solution. Because…they will watch the current generation regret their permanent tattoos.
I love the Miami effect on your work. Those girls are all so no-brand. Also it looks like you’re looking for girls for American Apparel. Love their unpretentious style over ubertoned bodies.
Great, great outfit, perfect for the season.
And of course the star of the show is that shoe-ink/arm-ink combo!
(Visit the link for an in-depth breakdown)
Great shot, btw! Not easy to do in the bright sunlight…
I like the tattoo. It’s a little tougher than the lower back and wrist tattoos so many girls get, but still sweet and floral. Of course, I may be a little biased!
This looks just right for the beach. And she manages to take 2 of my least favorite things, white sunglasses and rose tattoos, and make them work, which I find impressive.
Boring…. Yawn…. I don’t think that this image has a place on this blog. This look is no different to how most of the world dresses and for me, this blog is meant to inspire people, giving them a different point of view or take on how to wear pieces in ways they never thought possible, especially when they are everyday items of clothing.
I’m sure that when the photograph was taken, there was something that captured your(Mr Sartorialist’s) interest, however,I feel that it has not resonated well in the final image. Yeah, the background of Miami is great. Yeah, her sunnies are kinda cool. Yeah, her tatts are pretty and match to the shoes. But to be honest, it’s predictable and has been done before If I want to see looks that every Jim and his dog wears, then I can see that as I take the tram on my way into work everyday.
I assumed that the intentions of this blog was to bring people from all walks of life together as a community to encourage a bit of daring and thought into their personal style, no matter what style it is. I find this image a bit insulting to the intelligence of your blog followers and the general wit of what you tend to express in the various styles you post.
