Hey Scott do you think his tie knot is too big? …I mean do think this it is out of proportion with the rest of his outfit?

sorry but I don’t like it! … in a single breasted three bottons jacket only the central one needs to be buttoned … in fact, in the picture we can see how this mistake causes an irregular fitting of the jacket on the hips. Moreover the tie knot is too big and not well tight to the shirt’s neck. Finally the gray tonality of the suit is really anonymous.
In my opinion it’s not a good shot for TheSartorialist!

I think the jacket fits – quite well, in fact; he just shouldn’t have his hands behind his back pulling on it like that. Agree that the knot is too big, not cinched up to the neck and it needs a dimple. Regardless, the plain tie is just boring. Come to my closet, sir, and we will fix you right up – with a coordinating pocket square to boot!
