I have said before that finding a woman over a certain age that looks super stylish and will let you take her photograph is great but this lady was a goldmine.
CDG jacket, serious bike, and fashion-y pants she had tailormade for her, this lady knows how to put a look together and ,apparently, she can help you too. She is sending me information about her styling seminars she gives at locations around the city. When I get more info I will update.

Sartorialist, I believe the proper phrasing would be “a woman of a certain age”.
Lots of love to you from one who is over.

The pants are very interesting…almost like anti-leggings!

Ordinarily I think you’re bang-on with who you choose as fashionable, Sartorialist, but I have to say that I disagree completely about this woman. The jacket/shirt combo makes her look stretched; the hemline isn’t well placed; and although I like the matching sunglasses and flower, they don’t look right on her. All that said, bad clothes do happen to good people, so I’m sure it was just an off day!

Her hemline is odd, the pants are odd, and yet there is this amazing air of insouciance that makes me think, “I want to grow up to be her someday.” Through some kind of miracle, the kind heretofore known only to the French, she carries off all that oddness and makes it look great.
