He’s very stylish though i’m struggling a bit with the tightness of it all. It’s almost like he’s had all this for 20 years and won’t admit he’s gone up a size. He’s very trim of course, but, well…i’m not too comfortable. I hope he is.
So perfectly handsome. Love those nearly invisible purple stripes on the jacket and that perfect plum peeking out of the pocket. I just developed an instant crush on this man! His hair is pretty divine, too.
this young man is quite disheveled! the marriage between his shirt collar and tie is just not up to par. his tie is tied a bit too tightly, as well as being askew ( the latter being excusable ) not to mention the grey tie melds into the light purple shirt do to the similar tonal values, losing the definition of the neck piece all together. if he had chosen a dark purple piece per-say, it would have created a much more centered, reassuring strength to his attire. his pocket square feels a bit too overbearing due to the bulging of the pocket ( is it actually a handkerchief? ). the jacket itself fits very well, but if you look at his right shoulder and bottom button… it leads me to believe “she’s” seen better days. i personally enjoy a shorter sleeve, as long as the jacket is snug all around! the separation at the waistband of the sweater draws unwanted attention to his groin. this would have worked with a shorter sweater and nice belt to draw the eye to the buckle, not the beener! that leads me right into his pants! once again the fit is his saving grace…these slacks scream the gap to me, or in his case, benetton! and by no means am i strictly speaking of labels… more the quality of the material.
fret not!! all is easily looked passed due to a few simple things! first and foremost being his glowing personality! confidence and happiness are two of the best accessories a person can wear! next would be those shoes, comfortably classy with a tad bit of wear- what a combo! finally, would be his hands. perfect specimens in my opinion, especially his right one. you can see the strength in his left and the elegance, through the nonchalant cradling of the phone, in his right. now thats a hand i would like to shake!
I like the v and the lines of the shirt and the tie and the jacket- but they really draw the eye down (an arrow!) to the pants which seem to be a bit tight and I feel like my eye is directed to his…uh…you see what I mean.
What a relief to see younger people for a change. The guy has a nice collection of clothes on him. Maybe the jacket is just a bit too tight and the sleeves a bit too short. Maybe it looks like that due to the knit under.
Nice photo, Sart. I’ve seen this gentleman in previous photos. What I find interesting about this photo is that his jacket appears to be a 3/2 roll. In other words, the lapel rolls to the second (middle) button. To American ‘trads,’ this is significant. However, I have seen Italians exhibit this style too; in Italian circles the 3/2 roll is the mark of superior tailoring.
nothing looks better than a four-in-hand knot, in my opinion. also, i love that the button holes go all the way up the front of his jacket. i’m relatively young maybe, but i really love wearing a hooded, zip up sweater under jackets. also, someone asked about chinos. i recommend jcrew.
Love this guy every time I see a picture of him. Parenthetically, I don’t think the pants are tight in the groin area at all. Just wrinkly, as if he’d been sitting for a long time. Those aren’t “too tight” wrinkles….
