It seems that you were taking this shot from below, were you? In which case, I wonder how does she look so good? Isn’t that supposed to be the worst angle to photograph people?

the rust is very good with the grey and the black, and isn’t a color we see a lot of around town. i also like the fact that she’s wearing a print, which again is unusual for a new yorker.

Is that henna on her foot? Cool.
My first thought was that her look was ‘Lucky Magazine’ but there’s something real around her edges. The bag doesn’t look so interesting but in a way that’s what keeps her edgy. It would be too perfect with ‘the perfect bag’.

i like her use of color, i think the stockings on her feet are interesting, but i like how it ties in with the sweater and the blouse.

How funny that people keyed in on Lucky magazine – this is Rita Konig from Lucky’s sister publication Domino. She is stunning and stylish and has an abundance of soignee.

I love how everyone assumes she’s wearing printed tights or has henna on her feet. Chances are she is tattooed. I know everyone believes tattooed people are “out there” and don’t look or dress this way, but that’s a stereotype.

This is actually the ever-stylish Helen Howell (not from Lucky Magazine) and not a New Yorker….just at heart! She must be wearing printed tights b/c she does not have henna on her feet (as far as I know!)
