If I was just looking at the woman, not at the clothes, I would think it’s 1964. Beautiful picture, somehow reminds me of the book I saw some time ago with Bruce Weber pictures of NYC.

wow this is great–looks like something people will look at in 50 years to see what 2014 was like in terms of style, cars…she looks like an elegant alien in this landscape.

have these B&W shots been with your fuji mirrorless or with a fancier setup? considering making the switch and i would love to know!

I wonder which is the greater feat of engineering: elevator parking or the platform heel. I know which one appears more precarious.

This B&W photo is so cool. One of the many reasons why I love your blog is the gorgeous, unique pictures that you post! Lots of love from Scandinavia!

Superb photo. Great photo communication. The look is a little 60′s which makes the pic even more interesting.

This is the second of your images I’ve seen which has an elevated car and some elevation going on in the woman’s outfit! Formally this one is quite wonderful, like some missing candid photo from an Avedon shoot. It also relieves me of the burden of trying to decide if I like the outfit or not, as it is here only one element of the picture. I”m reminded of that quote about when Cartier-Bresson enters the street the world begins to perform for him.

Great shot Scott, looks like a still from a really good film noir. Robert Mitchum is lurking somewhere in the shadows…

That deep pit of ominous shadow creates a kind of disquieting contrast with the light of her frail vertiginous figure. Shadow, walk with me.

It looks like a Fellini movie from the 60′s, but with different cars. Just exquisite. This is what photography is a mood and each one fills in his or her own story from the image.

    “Oh wow, amazing, cool!”

No, this shot’s all about stacks. Stacks of class, stacks of cars, stacks of heel.

I do sometimes wish commenters would take a breath before they respond and really LOOK at a picture. Savour it, question it, look at the background, the details, the context, the subtext.

I love it! the cars seem to be suspended in the air

To me, it is more captivating the shadows on the wall than the outfit but nice picture anyway.

Another unspeakably stylish, beautiful photo. Truly, Scott!
