Is often good to see that simple is best! Every time I see this type a shoe pair in such of stylish way, make me so happy for my Best friend who owns La Manual Alpargatera.
Nice portrait. BTW, I love your strategy for Pitti, let everyone else blow their wad posting variations of the same men shots while you focus on the women. I look forward to your men shots in the coming weeks. Keep doing what you do Scott. “Often imitated, never duplicated”
This "Blonde and Blue" picture is stunning. Not only a beautiful model in her own right, but absolutely everything comes together perfectly. Kudos to our Satorialist!
As the pic first downloaded, I thought for sure that she was part of a wedding party, but then in seeing the shoes, I'm incredibly curious where she is off to. The navy with the blonde hair is divine and I love the red bracelet.
she looks so fresh, her freckles are just adorable. and I love the dark blue of her dress against the two tone color of the steps she's sitting on…just amazing.
Funny that Garance posted about not liking espadrilles. Whereas she finishes her look perfectly with them. I agreed with Garance at first…mine look pretty sitting in the closet. But this is cool. So you both are great influences. Thanks. She looks dutch to me (also red, white, blue not only for Americans or French I guess ;).
Like loads of others, I'm playing 'guess the country of origin' on this girl (who looks great) and who, I very much doubt, is Italian. The espadrilles are SO comfy, look fabulous and give the whole outfit a younger, fresher look. Swedish, English, Dutch, German. Finnish, Irish ………….. I guess she is one of these!
Espadrilles are always in style–they have a long standing history and this is for a reason–they are comfy, practical and look edgy cool especially once worn in. Shame they are difficult to buy here in Oz as is always the case as things go in and out of "fashion". Probably their popularity has been spoiled by the many cheap and nasty mimics that have been made–shame…
To be completely honest I think this is a very pretty picture and I like the simplicity of her look, showing that you can be comfortable and pretty, however I don't find this to be a very STYLISH photo. I am very surprised at the many people dying over the "fashion" aspect in this photo. I think the purpose of this picture is to show a fresh look, simplicity, effortless beauty but not FASHION. Then again, this is my opinion. To each, their own.
I do like a frock with a side zip. It creates good line. One thing I like about this 'blonde' is that she is not covered in expensive and ostentatious gold jewellery which is always seen on blonde women are in Australia.
Finally I am with Garance on the espadrilles. I bought my first pair a year ago as they looked so beautiful in the shop. But I couldn't get them to stay on my feet when I walked. I got rid of them quick smart.
The gold bracelet really stands out as well as that tiny touch of red. I love her combination of classic shift with the casual espadrilles! I love her dress. Lovely expression of youth and style.. This is so pretty! She looks so natural and sunny! Thanks for sharing.. twelfth street by cynthia vincent
