Wow nearly dreaded hair! Wow soulful eyes! Wow flawless skin! Wow perfect brows! Wow those cheekbones! Wow bee-stung lips! Oh, the navy trench, the black fedora and the great lighting, I’m sure contribute to the wow factor.
I really love these women with their hats. They almost always seem to be men’s hats, which makes me a bit sad. I wish we women could find good hats. I also wish American women would take to hats again. It’s been what … forty five years?

I’ve been following this blog for about 2 years now and I have to say that the last half dozen posts are really showing how much you continue to develop as an artist/photographer. This one especially is so strong formally. I think your work will stand the test of time as both a cultural archive as well as art of its time. Keep it up.
I love that tiny wrinkle on her flawless skin. It’s like you have captured her at the “aha” moment in her life. I also like how you didn’t get her to remove the hair elastic from her wrist. People often ask me what that band is on my wrist…I’m like- it’s a hair elastic. It just made me smile.
