So many fashionable Asians in Milan. Why is this?

Great look. Great use of gray and black with her lips adding an exciting jolt of color. The look is dramatic. The shoes are a little bit over the top, but with everything else being so restrained I think that the overall look works.
I bet that her haircut cost a fortune, but it looks like it is worth every penny.

Now, I see this as “extreme chic” —not jumpsuit / blazer lady a few posts back. This woman is workin’ it, and subtly. Color, texture, fabric, accessories—and it doesn’t look overdone.

Love the large knit sweater – very warm and chic.

Love the layers of gray. Looks sleek… understated… unfussy hair, clothes layered but uncluttered. Those boots are great! Really love the way the grays in the background seem to tie the whole composition together.

This makes ‘casual chic’ so much less of an oxymoron. Love her.

I think she looks very chic. I’d always expect chunky knitwear to look super-casual, but she makes it look stylish.

Nice instant: it has a story. Someone seems to be calling her name in the distance and she isn’t still able to distinguish who it is, but she’ll soon find out is a great friend of hers that she hasn’t seen in a long time and later then they’ll go lunching together and they’ll rescue their old friendship… Ai…

PS. Love the scarf and the hair cut.

One of my friends has those shoes here in PDX Oregon! She will be so pumped over this. They are a sort of strange athleti-heel, but somehow both this woman and my buddy pull them off. Love the cozy sweater. It has a portrait collar effect that makes her neck look really long.

She looks nice, but not particularly original. In NYC at least, this looks has been done to death.

Here’s a few questions: Is style innate or is it groomed? Or is style just a guise of one’s self composure? I’d love to hear your opinion as your surrounded by it everyday.

big sweater-dresses are a must. Personally, i would have preferred no scarf and a bare shoulder, but that’s just my opinion.

    >>>a scarf and a bare shoulder< <<

Maybe she would have preferred that too, but in that weather? Perhaps she preferred NOT to freeze today.

She looks soooo warm and comfortable in this outfit.

Love the look! it looks like an L&N knit, however cant tell if its cashmere or not.

Who would have thought that this big knit would work on this petite woman? But it does because of proportion. The leggings which counter the bagginess of the sweater, and the high heeled boots that give her some lift.

She kind of looks like a cooler Mrs Kim from the gilmore girls!

if you live in a cosmopolitan city, has some extra cash and look at fashion, it really becomes a no brainer. it depends how much you pay attention and care. i personally value originality and a bit of humor when it comes to making an effort to dress.

This is a fantastic sweater, and God Bless It, it has pockets! And yet still looks chic, rather than bulky. Great look!

Extremely chic. The hair and the drop shoulder sweater make her neck look so long. Very controlled and polished look, yet not stilted in the least.

The knit sweater is amazing, and then paired with the grey booties and the sweater gives it a monochrome twist that is imacculate. An outfit that may of been over powering due to the women’s petite frame, lookings perfectly pulled together. kudos!!

For those of you who are anti-80s styles, where are all the negative comments about this outfit? I actually wore something like this in the 1980s.
