Do the Parisians know how to dress! The tie on the cardigan brings this boyish look to a special place.

I’ll bet that the cardigan is a woman’s. Belted women’s cardigans are quite common. Belted men’s cardigans don’t exist (as far as I can tell). Either way, it looks great and I will be keeping my eye out for an oversized woman’s belted cardigan at the second hand shops.

There’s tons of places that sell belted cardigans for men. Topman sometimes has it with their guest designers; ASOS always has some but they’re not always a classic cut–too feminine or artistic; Massimo Dutti carries very simple, classic ones. Your best bet is too look from now until November with all the Fall collections.

He looks like a rapper with a passion for high fashion. I’ve seen those kind of tie up sweaters on women before, but never men. Everything else in his outfit is so cool and hard edged, and then his sweater adds a touch of softness.

Love this man’s style! I think it’s actually pretty brave for a man to wear a cardigan like this, as it can come across as too feminine, but he pulls it off nicely!

@simbarshe ‘house of jedi’ …classic ha ha

honestly while this doesn’t look completely awful on this cat i think you have to have a certain build to pull something like this off. regardless of height, you have to have a slight build, dare i say waifish…or feminine

a more athletic, muscular male would look retarded with this thing on (somebody like myself, for instance)

. . .i think the neutral color is helping him though

Love the camel with dark denim. Never occurred to me until I read the comments that that type of sweater is often considered “feminine.” He’s a convincing case that, perhaps, the style should be embraced by more men!

I think pairing it with a dark jean and peak cap makes it more masculine. Otherwise you run the risk of looking like a bad cross dresser.

I love the sense of formality provided by the belt combined with the sense of defiance provided by the wayfarers and the hat. Absent any of these elements I don’t think this outfit would be special. Although, maybe if he lost the hat and wore something more interesting than a grey crew… I’d personally like to see polka dots.
