My wife has a coat just like this that belonged to her great aunt. She lived to be 83 and died in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1998. Fashion is fluid.

Great look! Classically cool elements are combined beautifully here: a dash of Edie Sedgewick, a bit of Debbie Harry, a soupcon of old-school London punk. (I even like the way she did end-dyed hair, and that’s a trend I’m getting very tired of!)

I love this look. It’s daring and edgy and she pulls it off well. Great example of wearing clothes and not letting them wear you.

Somehow for me this image has in my mind something uniquely “londonian”. Or maybe british (I have not visited much else than London). Maybe it is the punk look or the doc martens or the pause; rebel yet inviting.
