I would agree for the most part with mark but would go on to say that even with just proper tailoring on the pants and a smaller jacket size it would look a lot better. i like it over all though.
I like that he’s picked up the blue of the shoes in the madras band on his hat (or vice versa). But I’m not such a fan of the brightness of the shoes under the paleness of the trousers.
This is still a very attractive man, though – great smile! And love his attache case, too.
Terribly fitted jacket, shoulder pads are too wide and the sleeves swing too much to the front. The colors are fun and creative though, pulled together by the crisp white dress shirt. Love his charming smile, is he Bank streetâs mad hatter?
I would guess that he’s trying on his easter clothes, no? The hat looks good. The pants are fine. It’s just that jacket. Odd color choice and a little big…
Regardless, he pulls it off b/c the whole is greater than its parts.
Damn. I’ve had a pair of Versace wool slacks, that same color, hanging in my closet for years. The cuffs are still unfinished and the tags are still attached. Now, I’m suddenly wishing I was 30 pounds lighter so I could wear them. They look great there.
ah, who am i kidding. they’ll remain in that wardrobe forever….
Am I the only one who mostly noticed the store in the background the “smörgĂ„s chef”. It may have something to do with beeing swedish, knowing that smörgĂ„s=sandwich and beeing utterly surprised to find such a word in a photo from NY… ;)
Smorgaschef is a chain of Swedish restaurants in Manhattan (this one is in the West Village). Best Swedish meatballs. Ever. (They are seriously delish.) As is Mr. Sparks in this ensemble.

The coat ruins it.
It looks cheap and doesn’t fit well. The material is stretched where buttoned.
Everything else is great. The bag, the trousers, the shoes, the hat.

this is true style, the comibation of various genres:
preppy jacket
trendy pants
hi tech nike trainers
pulled together just right for a stunning look.
the hat is the icing on the cake!

Nope, sorry–the jacket and pants are ill-fitting and the hat…well, it’s over-reaching, shall we say.
Nice smile, though.

Nice look but it’s the hat and the attitude that bump it up another level.

I think the coat blends into the background too much, and makes the outfit look less effective than it really is.

It would be great if the jacket and pants fitted him better. I love the hat and the open-neck shirt. And his smile!
