Love the mix of patterns. Beautiful picture, beautiful girl, but would’ve loved to see the front of her outfit to see the accessories. I bet she had textured, big jewelry like this:
Oh man-the lines, the shadow, the smoke, the dots, the spots and the little glimpse of the walk sign, the beautiful girl. This is such a great great shot Scott.

NICE, NICE!

HAve a nice day! http://voguewired.blogspot.com
Great picture! You really should do a serious study of the light at this time of year. I’ve been in Soho for 18 years (+ the yrs. I worked here=24). I am always surprised at how sharp & dramatic the mid-day sun is Nov/Dec, coming from the south (Manhattan south that is). Makes me think of Harry Callahan’s downtown Chicago/Detroit or Garry Winogrand. From one photog to another, you are really making a mark on picture-making that goes beyond fashion – I mean that sincerely! Huge Fan, P~
The silhouette is wonderful, and perfectly emmphasized by the backlighting…the prints are really prominent against the urban landscape, allowing for an apreciation of the aesthetic nature of the clothing.
In particular however, i feel the desicion to present this photograph as a monochrome representation was most wise (assuming it is originally a digital colour image?)…it turns this photograph into a wonderful narrative of texture (of the symbiotic relationship between clothing and its social environment); further emphazised by the aformentioned techniques.
I have a special fondness for outfits that would look good at any time, in any era. This would look fantastic in 2006, in 2000, 1988…and it looks especially wonderful today. Real timeless style.
Incredible! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a completely different subject but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Wonderful choice of colors!
