Wow – this photograph is striking. There is so much I love about it: the strong arms, the sheer dress, the black piping and under garments, the similarly-echoed gladiators. So cool.
Lovely Gal & dress- I just think it's a bit too obvious. perhaps a lacey one piece undergarment would be would be more romantic & mysterious. love the dress!
Wow. She IS a fashion statement. Strength + delicacy. Modesty + boldness. Black + pink. Solid color + fine line. The fine lines of the piping, black cord, and sandals–amazing.
I like the skirt portion of this dress more than bodice for some reason. I'd also like to see some movement..the lightweight fabric and flutter hem begs for it. But this seems like an appropriate outfit for Atlanta, where it's so very hot
I love how she is not wearing any makeup. It matches the sheerness of the dress. We can enjoy her beautiful skin, the strength of her character and facial features. A very natural, architectural and pure look.
I love it. The contrast of her strong build and the soft dress, the fleshy tones of pink and brown combined with the black underthings, trim of the dress, her hair, the headphone cord. And the way that cord curls down to the bottom of the dress, like it's naturally part of the outfit. And I love the mimicked lines in her shoes and the seams in her dress, and then again in the background with the wall and the wood slats.
I would love that dress in my own closet, but she rocks it better than I ever would!
I am LOVING these photos from Atlanta. They have a different feel from anywhere else you've shot, and the style of the subjects feels relaxed and fresh.
her physical strength galvanizes the chiffon. love the piping – what a fabulous design. brava! also, her blog is fantastic!!! check her out : http://uncouturier.blogspot.com/
I've never seen sheer look so demure and innocent before. This dress is phenomenal!! More women could wear sheer if this is how it was presented on runway. Thank you, Scott for this picture!
Scott, you seem to be a big fan of androgyny and it shows through the contrast in this photo: she's wearing such a feminine outfit with her brassiere showing through and yet her hair cut, toned arms, and facial expression is so boyish and she has such a strong presence. I love it!
It's such a striking image-she looks like a dancer-in fact, she is a designer. I just looked at her blog, her creations are amazingly romantic! (she designed that sheer dress as well). Thanks for letting us discover her!
Stunning picture!!! What a combination, she is so strong and looks so tough and wears this beautiful see through dress on a very peculiar background, love, love love it!!! I checked her blog, she is very talented! Thank u Scott:)
Very bold and fashion-forward as a street look. I love the tough-fragile contrast. That ruffle flow is constructed for a dancer, and she's listening to music…how fitting.
What a great photo, Scott. You've captured a study in opposites; light v. dark, strong v. ethereal, the cold background against the girlieness of the dress… you really have a wonderful eye.
What a brave a risky choice.. even though I wouldn't wear it. In my opinion the fact of seeing her bra makes the look a lot less smart than it could be. But it suits her.
This photograph hits me hard; it is invoking a lot of sentiments inside me that I cannot clearly verbalize. Her toned arms mirror her strength and her white nails radiate her purity. Her stance is rigid and solid, juxtaposed (or enhanced) by the flowy dress. The transluscence of the fabric shows that she open; to induce emotions as well as absorb any outside forces that come her way.
Very nice looking woman, but the dress does not suit her. Something with a V-neckline would lengthen her neck and balance the arms, which look a bit weighty for a dress that diaphonous.
People have such nice, positive comments about the photos on this website. I think I love all of you. There are still nice people in this world!!!!!! Cool pic, by the way.
If only the dress were a wee bit shorter on her. It compresses her, creating density that I am not sure I agree with. Otherwise this is original. I especially like that the armholes are not piped, appearing to just be cut and not finished at all.
thanks to the poster that identified her – Azede – her blog showed images of her that validated my thoughts – this woman is beautiful and lights up when she smiles
The dress is beautiful but let alone that, I love the way she stands out from the dull, dark background even though she's only wearing a pale pink dress! lovely!
Beautiful! I like the creations on her blog better than this particular dress (http://uncouturier.blogspot.com/), but I commend her for wearing something so bold out in public!
I agree with all the "delicate vs. strong" comments and I love the folds and lining in the skirt part of the dress.
I think a sexy black slip would have worked wonders … because even with a rockin' bod, unless you're at a high fashion event, walking around in such a sheer dress without one would look odd.
Ok. Thats really good. Very good version of sheer. She is totally not hiding, but totally not obvious either. Just modern and clean. Good that she is not wearing make up. It makes a nice counterpoint.
Wow. The contrasts are beguiling and mesmerizing. The only thing I'd change is the alienating headphones. Not for aesthetic reasons, but for social ones.
That incredibly lovely and feminine (best shade of) pink sheer dress with its perfect black piping, following the same lines in the black gladiator sandals, black sharply romantic lingerie, chalk white nail polish… and then the hairstyle, the headphones, the tough built of her figure, the look in her eyes, the background and the lighting…
I am simply in love with this shot. Interesting, and beautiful, flawless!

Pretty awesome to see your old classmate grow up into a woman. Azede Pierre is an amazing artist/designer. Definitely look out for her in the future!
