I think there looking more at Scott’s interest in her while he shoots.
I sure someone else is going to say something about her tattoos, I don’t mind tattoos but maybe, just maybe, she has too many, it doesn’t seem to fit with her summery outfit but maybe from the front it’s fine.
That guy in background has a vest over and t-shit?!
I agree, very good reply loli. Sometimes I admit I am leery of people with tattoos because of the old opinions of them. But here is her Mom saying how nice she is. Now I want to buy them both a coffee. :)
Everyone nowadays has a tatoo… even soccer moms. It is no longer cool or rebellious. The shot is nice and the girl is pretty but the tats are like vandals ruining a beautiful work of art by spray painting it.
Is this the girl with the tattoos and lace top from a while ago? She looks great again. Also a nice contrast with the bear-pit photo you put up earlier, the 50s one. There are different ways for a man to look at a woman eh…
This looks like the modern American version of the Ruth Orkin photo you had on the other day: the young woman being checked out by the slightly predatory young men….but she is not in a hurry to get away and she looks like she can handle the attention….
I can’t help but compare this picture to the Ruth Orkin posted earlier. I know that the subject of the latter interprets her experience in it as “a girl having fun”, but her body language seems to tell another story… Here we have a girl surrounded by men and attracting their attention too, but she is definitely more relaxed, a master in her element and letting everybody know it. She doesn’t seem oppressed. And men can only look. I know these photos have been taken in different settings and different countries, but they seems to express, in my opinion, that the work of elders on sex equality is leading somewhere? Or are they different expressions of proud women in different times? Anyways, amazing shot!
A modern day American Girl in Italy….but in NY. I love this photo because it captures so much of human nature. Sometimes I feel like a pig for checking women out like this, but f*ck it, there’s just so much beauty in the world, how do you not to take it all in and appreciate it?
Weird the way everyone believes *all* the guys are looking at this woman. One guy turned back to look at her, his friend is looking at him, no one else – the comments then simply reflect each individuals (imaginary) interpretation of the moment
Of all the details one could discover by studying the photograph , perhaps the most astonishing is how you always seem to find the most remarkable natural light in which to capture these images. I can’t say about London, Parsi, Rome, or Madrid but in Manhattan this is no small feat.
Beautiful composition. She is interesting and even though I am not a fan of tatoos, she makes them look good. The people surrounding her are just as interesting to the piece and actually build the picture of her to be better.
At the same time, it can add a beautiful decoration to your body.
Real Name: Kate Kane – Although Batwoman lacks any real superpowers, like Batman, she is a skilled fighter and uses technology to enhance her physical
combat. It really helps people express themselves better than through the usual verbal diarrhea that we
are so often exposed to.
i see that sometimes people forget; tattoos possibly may not be meant for your opinion, they may not be meant to be open to comment (apologies, we do realize they are public and are an open forum, but it wasn’t necessarily a choice based on attention). Looking and having a judgement, that is fair. Publicly stating that you think me and my peers are less than equal is hurtful. Shall we always tastefully disagree on fashion and always respect another’s choices. In short, hey assholes stop being rude, we never asked you.
What an amazing photo. This is really really good. The light, the street scene. The head turning woman.
She has an interesting style – she dresses very feminine, she has this long wavy hair, but then she has many – really many – tattoos.
And I do not want to think about what she looks like when she is older – that is for her to think about. You, Scott, captured a great moment – and that is perfect.
Interesting image. The looks from the young men and the light seen to center on and highlight the young lady while she seems unaware and uninterested in that everything in that moment seems to be just for the purpose of illuminating her.
Maybe somebody already mentioned this, but another interesting contrast to the Orkin photo is that in this one, the woman is stationary and the men are in movement; in the Orkin photo it’s the opposite.
As everyone’s making up things: I just like the fact she’s wearing a wedding ring (at least that’s the finger) and maybe she got herself a loving husband at home, that’s why she’s so relaxed + dares to wear Birkenstocks and don’t care bout guys drooling over her :)))
