I love that you see the fun in todays common fashion here in Japan, because I never understood the Harajuku Trend either. Hope you will be visiting Tokio again soon! Can’t wait to see next what you will pick up in my city ^^
The colorful top steals the show, but I like her retro gold watch as well. Wish I could see what’s on the other wrist. Her mood and countenance is uplifting. I’d like to ride around the city with her, smiling like that…
For the people who keep complaining about the spelling of Tokyo/Tokio…it doesn’t matter. It’s not like they use the Roman Alphabet in Japan anyway. Either way, it’s a translation of a completely different language. Y or I makes no difference. Neither captures the exact pronunciation anyway.
I feel like maybe an assistant photographer was hired to shoot these Japan shots, because this latest series simply isn’t up to his usual standard of great composition and fantastic fashion, thus I find it hard to believe this is his work. These look more like random shot one would find in that Japanese street photography book Fruits.
There is something different about the fit of those shorts. Not sure if it is that they are so low on her hips, or if they are just shorter and wider then usual, but they aren’t my favorite. But no one else seems to mind, so maybe its good. The rest of the outfit is fine. her bike is great.
