when I saw the top half of the picture I didn’t expect that the other half would like that! Really unexpected but really love it, the colours of his pants and shoes are really beautiful, really warm. Love that his green adidias stripes match the little green wheels of his skateboard. Also like his glasses, another unexpected detail about this outfit. Really interesting shot! Would the bandage on his finger be a consequence of a fall with his skateboard? ;)
I don’t find anything really interesting about this photo, fashion wise at least. Does that mean that he isn’t a cool guy? Not at all. I’m sure he is fun to be around with but this is the Sartorialist, it doesn’t inspire me.
your old layout brought value to your pictures! this one doesn’t fit on the screen nicely. and i’m sure all of us loyal followers created an attachment to your old layout. your pictures and eye for street fashion is so good, i hate seeing the layout get in its way.

I think you have style confused with fashion. I know Scott Schuman cares more about the former more than the latter and that is why he took this photograph. Style is about expressing who YOU are and doing it well. If you want to dress like a skate punk, do it, but do it like this man: coordinated colours, nice fit, cool accessories and a winning personality. If you want to see everyone in the world wearing drop-crotch pants/fabulous man-bags/double breasted blazer then there are plenty of other “fashion” websites that do that. This blog is about style my friend! Stay true to who you are!
At this age, i would like to be just as cool as this man. The Cap Rocks, the sneakers are off the hook and you can feel he’s happy and stress free!! Roll on
Seriously, Scott, TokYo! :-) I don’t think you see people his age on skateboards in this country! Very cool look! Do you think he coordinated color on his shoes with the color of the wheels on his board? :-)
I love that he is older but still young inside. I don’t think that people as they age have to fade away into oblivion style wise, but it’s what I see every day.
The top half of the photo made me think how this came into your blog, but when I saw the bottom half I was like WHOA! Now that’s young at heart! ROCK ON! :D

As I age, I look to men like this one for inspiration. Otherwise, I have to guess at what kinds of outfits I can get away with.
I love those pants and want them now. I like the Addidas too, in combination with the pants, and it is time for a pair of brown casual shoes.

Look at that well-placed, beautifully modeled finger cast! It should be the new trend to Fall 2011. I foresee Missoni patterns ;)
But in all seriousness, what a street-dapper, undefinably aged Tokyo man!
