Worst umbrella ever! HHAHAH! That’s hilarious and absolutely accurate. You’d think that massive fur coat would offer better refuge from the rain than that tiny box? Oh well, all in the name of glamour, right?
Actually, if she doesn’t mind the wet and the damp on the clothes and hair, that little box might be just sufficient enough to shield the exposed scalp (where hair parts) from the acid rain – which is notorious of being able to worsen the hair lose. ;)
I shot Anna while in NYFW…it was the best pictures I could have taken of her but they are decent. This on the other hand is great picture! I couldn’t help but laugh at the title when I saw the picture. Any picture of Anna Dello Russo is worth taking.
Ugh, no. The fur *is* beautiful, but anytime I see anything like it all I can think of are dead, bleeding animals. It’s such a shame that influential people and blogs still make wearing fur the gold standard for pretension and “class” rather than the unnecessary horror that it is.
Hate the fur. Makes her look old though. Blogs shouldnt use pics of people wearing real fur. Other people think its okay to wear fur and go buy one of their own. So selfish to say its cool not to care about the environment and animals!
Lovely photography. I like her smile and hoops but the fur is EVIL. How long will it take before humanity acknowledges that being clad in a creature’s skin is not chic, but barbaric and immoral? We live in a savage society.
During Fashion Week, I can’t help but marvel at how incredibly ugly fur is – and how it makes anyone look ten, if not twenty, years older. It’s truly a crime that so many animals have to suffer and die to create this unnecessary “style” that does absolutely no one any favors. GO FAUX if your like the yeti look -otherwise do like I do and wear a fabulous, slimming, sleek and chic vegan coat.
Agree that this skirt is far too short for a woman her age. No matter how great one looks, wrinkly knees do not need to be aired like this. That impressive fur would have looked just as chic (more, actually) with a longer skirt or slim pants.
One could scream ‘awesome’, ‘love it’, or ‘good shot’ here, but hey, does it not come to your mind that the photographer did not at all ponder much about what it means to get old and still style yourself gracefully when he pushed the trigger?! Well, next time! For sure.
I don’t think wrinkly knees are anything to hide – no more than wrinkly faces. Bravo to Anna for getting on with it and not hiding away her age. And while I too am upset by the return of fur we need to look further into all forms of animal cruelty for human consumption/fashion. I’d rather wear a humanely killed fur than eat a caged chicken…
I agree with Joannalogue. I am sorry if some peoples faces and bodies do not look like they are nineteen, but thats really not ugly. Just natural aging, baby. I say the more people over 25 that show their knees, the better. Especially Anna who is a free spirit if there ever was one. Ditto with the fur. Its a personal decision. Good or bad….I hardly know. Lets face it most animals suffer because their habitats are being ruined. Its a whole lot worse for the earth and its animals( including us) when a person has 3 kids then when they wear fur, but then again thats personal choice too.
Now the idea of holding up that tiny box over her head…well, I guess thats a personal choice too, just a weird one.
First I was like eh not really age appropriate but on the other side, why push the limits and enjoy your body, a bit of liberty ! I have to say, my heart is broken to see all these furs … This is by far the less appropriate ! ;-(
