I love this photo. How did you do it? I stared so long trying to figure. The mirror is gone. Alessandra is left confronting Alessandra. I get an existential shiver.
Spieglein Spieglein an der Wand wer ist die Schönste im ganzem Land? Mirror mirror of the wall who is the fairest of them all? Splendid Coat with jeans and simple sweater:Bieeeen.
I like how it really looks like two different people looking at each other the way the lighting drowns out the pattern in the coat in the reflection, and how you can't see the front of the shirt in the "actual" Alessandra.
Such a great photo! The mirror- something, what is almost always interesting. I like her hair to, I'm not so confident to make such a haircut for myself…
Oh. I'm new, and mmm if you want to, you can comment my blog, please! :)
mirror displaces time this could be on ivory, on vellum etc.. it could be before an audience with cardinal woolsey or going onstage with roxy music… the reflection is ours
I've seen her here before and remember her to be very striking.
Sart – I think your site should have brief bios of all these fashionista superstars so we know who we're dealing with. The back stories are often of interest. Thanks in advance.
What a pimp. But remembering also her other photographs – what an interesting girl. Pardon me, but quite a few people you photograph have perfectly bland faces, which is what happens I suppose when you spend your whole life thinking what you're gonna wear, but not her! She's interesting.
Another Bowie type individual, like the young man in the skinny rolled up jeans. There's a lot of femininity going on here, but I don't find it the least bit distracting, on the contrary I love it. The coat is to die for and the necklace looks vintage and works well with the sweater, jeans and t-shirt. Again we have the super feminine mixed with the menswear underneath. I like it.
the gender ambiguity of this person is amazing – the short bouffant hair, the pale lip, the masculine glasses, the heavy bobble necklace, what looks to be a simple t-shirt under that incredible fur…beautiful, absolutely beautful, especially with the blown out background. really striking.

Thumbs up also on the vintage use in spite of living in the cult of now
