Not only do I love this dress, the belt, the shoes the bag–I love the complete contrast between this very feminine figure against the pseudo-serious guard around her. I absolutely love your work.
gorgeous photo! I'm wondering, what camera do you use? I'm an aspiring fashion photographer about to buy my first DSLR, a Nikon D90- would you recommend it? (sorry for posting a question, I won't be insulted if you don't reply) -Mell (fashionfruitt.blogspot.com)
Where to begin? Gorgeous, natural hair. Sweet smile. I love the collar on the dress. The buttons! The belt! The hemline! The doctor's medicine-esque bag with a vintage dress! Love. A splash of color.
The thing that is most immediately striking is, of course, the color contrast between the young lady in the center and the people surrounding her. Secondly, what captivated me was the near perfect triangulation of her form within the overall geometry of this composition. Add to that the bow that happens to bifurcate this image just where you would expect that it ought to, and the sway of her dress matching the apparent jauntiness of her mood, and you can understand how it is that even if you might not find her choices in accessories to be perfect, she is, nonetheless, a stunning image.
She's like this gem in the middle of a sea of black clothes. Love it! The dress in simply beautiful. And I don't know why people are so judgemental about her bag. She's attending a Louis Vuitton party after all! So, Im sure she intended to wear an classic LV monogram bag to an LV party.
the lady red dress looks adorable. the guy on the right wears the suit really badly! both buttons closed, jacket and shorts way too long! anyways, it's about the lady and she is amazing!
Eh, the shoes styling may work with the dress, but not the color. Then to introduce a whole separate pattern motif with the LV bag AND different color scheme – kills this outfit. Only thing really working is the color of the dress with her nails and lipstick. And on another minor note, the watch is black. Black watch with a brown bag and grey shoes…this fails imo.
Always wanted a pleated dress maybe not exactly the way this young woman has it, but then again I'd take anything to have that bottom pleat =D. Still love the colors in the whole outfit, amazes me how they all fit together, even the shoes are a nice touch. I like the young man's tie and nice suit, to the right
Lovely, feminine dress and the perfect belt and hair style to go with it but I have to agree with an earlier commenter that the shoes are horrid and the bag doesn't do much for the outfit.
Isn't there some other style LV purse she could have sported besides this one? It looks like a bowling bag and the colors and texture just aren't right. Leave that behind and she is charming. Anyway, not a fan of LV. Too much knocked off and where are they made exactly…?
Before I scrolled down to her feet, I was expecting sneakers or bowling shoes… In way the whole outfit screams " This is not working at all" the dress with that bag? The shoes with that dress.. and its October after all, not July.. But on the other hand, it does work, and she looks happy and pretty, and her hair is wonderful and so is her smile, and I love the color of her nails. She looks like someone from a fairy tale just visiting :)
Wow, love that dress! It looks like it has a nice swing to it and the collar is adorable. That color goes great with her hair; she looks so natural and beautiful!
I think it all works wonderfully because of the fact that it isn't too coordinated… very child-like. I never picked a pair of shoes because they would match my outfits but because I liked the shoes on their own… the same for most things as a child. I think that's the best thing about this picture. Reminds me of how I used to dress :)
oh.. in the time of all black n grey sphistication , she is like a breeze of freshness..!!! very pretty pink and the dress.. n both herself and the dress compliment – enhance each others beauty and simplicity. definitely the bag n shoes doesn't go together but its her casual look that shows .. not so made up
Can someone tell deadpan bodyguard to her left to smile ffs… he's in Paris after all and next to a lady who doesn't know how to match shoes, bags and watch despite her lovely dress.
lovely picture! all the supposedly wrong accessories actually enliven the photo: like the bulkiness of the bag contrast with the sheerness of the dress; the pale grey shoes with the vivid red dress; the black band actually pulls in the other people surrounding her…anyway, it works very well in my eyes
Love her! she is took my breath away, simple, romantic, classic, love the tocuh of a stament bag, her belt adorable… Who is she?? she is so pretty!!!!!
yeah if it was me i would leave the bow out too, i think it does look too costume-y other than that i love how the LV bag toughens the look as well as the lovely print of her dress….great hair too!
The lovely lady in pink had just walked out of a fairy tale when an evil witch rushed up and said, "Here my sweet, put on these ugly shoes. They're magical..they'll bring you a Prince, but don't forget the bag…yes it's ugly but," the witch lowered her voice to a whisper, "It's a designer label and you'll need somewhere to put the shoes once you've sprained your ankle. A Prince will pick you up and carry you away…if only to the emergency room…he he he…
She looks beautiful – love that dress and bow and the whole thing really! Right up my street. I love the movement in the photo and that bloke with the dead pan face on the right. Fantastic photo yet again – you really are an artist
Lovely smile and hair, and a very charming dress. I especially love the movement captured in the image, how the dress seems to flow as she glides. She looks so happy and content.
So feminine. I am going to show my gf this. She wants to girl it up a bit. Imagine if more women dressed like this and wore Penhaligon's Bluebell perfume. I love that she has eschewed contemporary androgynous trends and arrayed herself in such beautiful, feminine clothing, not to mention timeless. As a guy i am attracted to femininity, not masculinity. Good for her!
I love how different she looks to all the Paris Voguettes and their black, masculine clothing. Sure, the shoes throw the outfit off a little – maybe some darker ones would have been better – but I love that she's a total breath of fresh air!
Love the dress, but the shoes, while nice by themselves, don't set the dress off, and really fight with the purse. I don't think that purse is great with that dress, but with different shoes…..
I think everything is perfect here. With such a feminine dress the strong boxy bag and contemp. shoes really throw you off and I love that! Otherwise it would be too childish possibly. The more I dissect this the more I love it! She knows what she's doing.
I would wear that dress differently. I think she's trying to give it an edge with the odd shoe and bag and watch choice, but it just looks a little off. A pretty dress like that can veer into candy Sunday school if one isn't careful. Her hair is just lovely.
Oh! How fantastically nice to see someone with colour among all those blacks! She looks lovely, with all those rasberrypink polkadots, the cute collar and that perfect little belt. And this picture is such a perfect proof that colour makes you happier! (because the other girl who's also smiling is wearing a colourful t-shirt to her blacks) Yep, chiffon, pinks, polkadots -can't get better!
are they smiling because they've seen you and know they might be on your FAB blog? or did something funny happen at the show? cute red tea dress….ladylike nanna chic!
Hmmm beatifull girl..and the dress fits to her perfectly…Amazing dress…or woman..Coco Chanel said once…"At a woman if you see the dress first, probabily is a bad dress, but if you see the woman is a beautifull dress!"
Some of you so-called fashionable people have no clue… Louis Vuitton is not adding another color pallette – its a neutral. and why on earth would you care if there are knockoffs…if your is real? At any rate, I think the shoes and the bag give the look enough edge to not be too cutesy, and as such it works well. Matchy matchy is not fahionable, just fear…
Each time I look at this, I sigh. The movement of the dress and the hair contrasted by the frozen staid suits around her is making me think of a modern Marilyn… Girly and Sexy and Womanly…. damn.
She looks so pretty and feminine. I am so glad that she doesn't take advice from the so-called fashion experts. They would tell her to toughen up this sweet look with a leather jacket and black, patterned hosiery.
Perfection. The flounce in the skirt, the cheerful color of the pattern. The glow on her face and her flawless hair and smile. And what exquisite shoes.
This is a stunning photo, as her dainty dress is truly showcased here, surrounded by the darker hues.
Loved the matching striped ties of the bodyguards too. Softens their otherwise too-serious look somehow.
OMG can someone PLEASEEEEE tell me who this girl is wearing?! this is one of the most fabulous dresses i've ever seen!!! the kind you trade your car for. if anyone can tell me the designer/line/season i'll owe them my life!!! thank you:)

Lovely smile and hair, and a very charming dress. I especially love the movement captured in the image, how the dress seems to flow as she glides. She looks so happy and content.

Of course she's beautiful. The dress is a delight on her.
But. The shoes with that dress? That LV bag with any of it? I can't imagine any French person approving of these choices.

it must take incredible restraint to not twirl constantly in that dress. So pretty.

Oooh La La!

THE. MOST. unfortunate. handbag!
the folks at LV would have been so lucky if she were carrying the alma or wilshire bag instead: imagine the sales she could inspire!

(because the other girl who's also smiling is wearing a colourful t-shirt to her blacks)
Yep, chiffon, pinks, polkadots -can't get better!

Since this was shot in Paris, I will say it in French. Elle est parfaite!
She is absolutely wonderful. She embodies what I love about French style – never forced, and alsways looks so natural.
Does anyone know who she is?

Some of you so-called fashionable people have no clue… Louis Vuitton is not adding another color pallette – its a neutral. and why on earth would you care if there are knockoffs…if your is real? At any rate, I think the shoes and the bag give the look enough edge to not be too cutesy, and as such it works well. Matchy matchy is not fahionable, just fear…
Well Done

Each time I look at this, I sigh. The movement of the dress and the hair contrasted by the frozen staid suits around her is making me think of a modern Marilyn…
Girly and Sexy and Womanly….
