I was just thinking this. Wether the simple elegance of the last picture, or the bright joyful print above was prettier. I can’t decide, both are so lovely. But I am slightly leaning to the turtleneck and navy pants.
Because that’s the best place to catch people relaxed and in nice natural light: outside, when they’re enjoying a smoke and chatting to eachother.
A no-brainer I’d think, yet I always see people commenting on the presence of cigarettes.
im with ya on the ‘why?’ , even though i sketch smokers all the time. second hand smoke so unhealthy, but they stay still long enough! that’s where the cell phones come in, and they’re actually an improvement.
Well, I can’t wait for proof that cellphones cause brain tumor. I think Scott might want to shut down the comments section when it happens, since every consideration about style will most likely be drowned under a massive wave of disapproving viewpoints on cellphone users’ nasty habit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i truly appreciate when someone wears something very simple and basic as in the last photo. especially at an event such as a fashion show. it really shows great confidence! and is quite a relief to the senses. i love fashion and it’s been a huge part of my life but sometimes i feel like people are trying so hard it’s almost embarrassing. it’s funny, i even feel myself hesitating to write such a thing on here…
I suppose it doest follow the old rules. But sandals worn with coats are so sexy because they are unexpected, don’t you think? It certainly is here. And such quite a good way to be comfortable, just like shorts and sweaters are so perfect for fall.
Goes to show how perception of style changes. Back in the eighties I knew someone who had exactly the same style as the woman in the third picture, even her hair was the identical. In those days, my friends and I found her look extremely boring and “square”. Today things are so overdone that the same look has become, as it were, a sight for sore eyes.
