Very well-done, indeed. Noticing the trousers without cuffs, and brown suede shoes again!

Hello Scott – as you know I am tricky bugger to please but, you know what, this is perfect. Lots of T.E. Lawrence ‘desert’ browns here; a splash of desert sky blue and he’s there. Apart from that. Perfect. This is a more difficult look to pull off that initially meets the eye. And oddly, you know what makes it? The bag.

    A classic, hardworking man.

Also, this is right near one of my favorite boutiques in the city, Bendel’s! *squeaks*

The whole ensemble works too because of his great grooming. It’s pulled together with panache but without looking that he tried too hard to achieve that look. Looking at these early wintery pix from the muggy tropical heat of Singapore makes me want to jump on the next flight to NY!

Great to have you back in NYC. Enjoyed the overseas coverage but missed the real world shots.

Of the two or three men in not-black overcoats you’ve had lately I think I like this style about the best.

It’s slim, without patch pockets. I like the slightly darker tan color.

So much for you not liking brown!

couldn’t tell what fabric the coat is…based on other’s coomments…sounds like Camel Hair…beautiful of my favorite staples inn anny man’s wardrobe.
Again and again …the scarf helps to add so much “of that certain something”
    Nice Shot too!

Hmmm…just a little note from a big fan of yours…. The men you pick are classy, elegant and very European…of all ages. The ladies, however, seem to be quite young, cute and funky. That’s nice, but there are many of us ladies who are classy, elegant and very European…and a little older. :}:}Can you find us?

Just an observance, I love you anyway!

I think it looks good – especially the flash of blue – but I feel that the coat, trousers, and shoes make this a too-brown choice. He looks professional, for sure, but because of the browns it is more simple than it could be.

The whole thing works, and works well. Camel has been on my list for two years but if you live outside of a big city this is not that easy to find. Great coats, this and the Kiton below in camel, that one is special.

I personally find brown suede shoes unappealing, particularly in the city, but must say that the blue of the scarf works wonderfully with the camel

I love brown suede shoes– it has such an elegant and rich presence and adds so much to his unpretentious chic.
