Also about Grups is the fact that teenagers can look more sophisticated these days, but more than that- their mothers and fathers are NEVER going to not want to look young ever again and there really is no reason that they shouldn’t. The clock is going backwards, especially with botox, tummy tucks, etc. etc…

I too wondered why people decided she was old enough to be a grup. I would put her in her early twenties. I too haven't worn white sneakers since high school (over twenty years ago) but I think they look good. I almost didn't notice the leg warmers. I think they work with the suspenders because both are dark and don't stand out too much.
These suspenders add a relaxed, casual touch to the outfit. I really like her layered tops, really adds to the outfit. I love how The Sartorialist makes even sounding-plain outfits super intriguing…

there’s way too much going on.. i think she should have either stuck with the leg warmers OR suspenders.. not both..

I haven’t gone near white sneakers since I was 10. But I’m starting to really dig them. They look good on her.

Based on the article in New York, I think the way you tell a “grup” is ask yourself if you could see a teenager wearing it.

The colour combo is just awesome, the top, the jacket and the pants. The hair tied back and the sunglasses prominent. AWESOME.
