As a former vintage shop owner, I want to go with “scavenging.”

This could be another writing contest !
Anyway, prints, colors, textures and some dents in the bumper. Everyday life in a big city !

Let’s break this down. A Camry with both corners dented, a woman wearing inconsistent colored clothes that would probably scare a scarecrow, and a trunk filled with god knows what. I love every bit of it. Just wondering if the picture was taken with her consent.

As a candid street photographer & candid street fashion photographer,It is not required to take consent for taking photos of someone in public place unless you use the photo for commercial purpose. Commercial purpose does not mean posting it on the web or blog. it means advertisement or product shooting…etc. I may say this photo is for art.

Great shot. But on this shot I do not see Storialist angle. That is the point I like most about this photo.

I’m wondering, how do you ask for someone’s consent but still capture an ‘unconsent’ like image?

I only ask because I normally don’t ask for consent, but feel like a schmuck. I want to change my ways! Thanks in advance.

What a gorgeous coat! The pants, socks and sandals don’t go together with the coat.

Love her mixed prints! She definitely has a style of her own, and probably likes interesting clothes. My guess would be getting stuff out of her trunk that she is hiding from her husband!

well, OBVIOUSLY she just wanted to make a quick run to find her actual outfit for the day — fuzzy socks because it’s getting cold here, pajamas pants tugged in so they don’t drag on nyc sidewalk, and just picked up the coat because it was lying on the back of the chair closest to the door….

She is looking for a piece of clothing in the back of her trunk. Does she live there? Not likely with the way she is turned out. I would say she is an artist and probably taking stuff to be recycled or to a thrift store.
