An angel flanked by her fallen colleagues, stepping into the light as they fall to the side. The composition seems biblical, though I do not know the story.
I have to admit I’m more intrigued by the people on either side of this woman …. while I like the beaded collar and jacket, the tights and shoes are far too dark and heavy for the sheer lightness of the skirt. Same with the bag. I find her sweater is also too heavy for the skirt.
And this is what fascinates me about fashion. You can totally break some rules and it either really works or not – but the point is to keep experimenting – so with that in mind, I appreciate the rule-breaking here, despite not loving the result.
Hello Mr. Schuman there’s a relatively minute chance that your reading this but I just want to let you know that you have become a great inspiration for street-style newbies like myself.
This photo sort of makes you stop and think doesn’t it? I honestly can’t say exactly what I think, except when taken a part, I really love a lot of her pieces. Also -such a pretty girl! And of course, that rainbow necklace is super special!
I actually like the style of ALL three of them!
I love the wool knit and the cool just black new york style, and the jewelry on the lady in the middle is lovely!
Well done all three!
Agree with a couple of the commentors – the black at bottom is very heavy & the skirt is so light that it’s a near-miss. Love it when there are dissenting comments, not just “we love you, scott.”
To me the colorful collar makes the difference in her outfit..I made a post about precious collars on my blog too. I’m sure that the guy total black look whishes he could have one too..
I said it once, but got ‘censored’ for some reason. I agree w/LIZPR. To me,the outfit is bottom heavy and i don’t care for the look, but who am I to judge? It’s the game of experimentation that matters.

Her statement necklace is amazing. I’d pair it with a pretty white lace dress in the Summer! The neon would be great against a tan!
