This, to me, is the sexiest type of woman. She's comfortable enough to wear a great man's chino, fun enough to pair it with pink socks, and confident enough to rock a killer smile! Adore.
Gorgeous look! I would love to be able to pull it off but keep wondering if men find this type of style sexy. I think women would know how to find it beautiful but I was wondering if men would…
Beautiful pants! Not sexy… But I'm sure she doesn't care.. she seems someone that don't give a %&*^^* about what people think… she's a strong woman and I see that on her face. Love her smile. She's approachable and I love people like that.
It doesn't matter what her trousers look like or the color of her socks, that smile is fabulous..but I will see how I look in a pair of "boyfriend pants" ..
I never really understood the concept of boyfriend pants / trousers / jeans. Is it just women wearing men's clothes? Hardly revolutionary! To be honest, a man trouser won't look manly on a woman because it falls on a different shape. If a woman wants trousers that make the lower part of her body look masculine, she needs to find trousers designed to that effect (think Marlene Dietrich rather than Yves Saint-Laurent who did the opposite: make men trousers look very feminine)
The shoes bother me. I would like to try this look with my own ankle boots, nice Italian black leather handmade boots laced up front and with a thick 1,5 inch heel. That could work. The socks are lovely, the belt is OK, the pockets in trousers are the bonus. Goodbye big expensive bags and high dangerous heels. Fashion can be fun!
A man is saying: Hi ladies out there don't be concerned about the sexyness of such an outfit, I think sometimes it can be sexier than a super artificial "sex and the city" outfit – not only sex sells :)
She looks great, very pretty, nice body. I like the top and the socks, but the belt doesn't fit the trousers with the buttton below it which ruins the pants look.
Pretty girl but I think the proportions are a bit off – if you want to wear shorter pants then it would be good to have a higher waist on them, otherwise it just seems oddly shrunken. If you want the low waist, then drop the length. For some reason a high waist can work with a long length, but the low-short combo only gives you the look of short legs, which is just not flattering on anyone.
Love the look and is it just me or is anyone else wondering how tall her boyfriend is based on the pants? I am thinking he is either younger or older than she and is smiling too.
I don't think people get that those are not boyfriend pants but carrot pants. They are really popular in Europe and the fact they are so shorts is actually part of the cut..This woman does not need to expose her body to be sexy and she definitely looks cool.
I like everything in theory, but in practice the fit of the pants is too much by half for my taste. I'm guessing they don't look great from the back with all that extra room in the rise. The look starts to range from casual into sloppy when the pants are so big they slip off and hang below the belt. In real life, I wouldn't be so picky about this. She looks comfortable and happy. Love the shoes and the classic aviators too.
Her shoes are killer because they are the real deal. The insouciance of the mouse-y pants: button, long rise, good deep pockets is enviable and prove that she is not anyone's fashion/ guinea pig/ victim. The socks could be the boyfriend element…
omg, definitely something i would wear. love how the boyfriend pants is hanging on her legs showing off her pink socks. and oxfords are the best! —- matchalovee.blogspot.com
Fashion Tip From the '80s: A carefully placed safety pin could keep the belt from riding up in the front, which would make the pants hang better & preserve the paper-bag effect at the waist.
in general: she has class. that´s why she ´ll look great no matter what she´s wearing. she makes the clothes look great not the other way round … and in particular: I love the combination of boy and girl, oversized and slim, trousers and pullover. and I would love to have this belt. I´m not so sure about her shoes and socks, can imagine a more feminine footwear … but who cares … she´s just gorgeous.
The pants, socks and shoes look like circus attire. Just the pants with a tiny, feminine shoe..yes. Or a tight sexy pencil skirt with a woman's version of those shoes..yes. A smart woman will not fall prey to this ridiculous fad.
There are many cool elements here, but the execution is poor and some of the pieces range from uninspiring to ugly, so I don't think the outfit as works a whole. By all means go for boyfriend pants if you can pull it off, but these are dull or don't photograh well. Same goes for the belt, which is too thin and fastened too tight and thus exposes the button of the pants and makes their too low waist drop further and a bulge on the crotch. She's also either wearing the wrong bra or not wearing one at all. The combo of these three things kills it for me and makes feel like she's going for hip by numbers without regard for the overall effect, which is blah. The poor socks can't do all that heavy lifting.
I think the top, sock and shoes would work with prettier boyfriend pants and a sturdier belt that can actually carry the pants. Else, if keeping the pants, I'd go for more delicate oxfords. And I'd still change or ditch that most depressing belt.
The only reason this look isn't laughable is because the woman is attractive — her face keeps the eye away from the unflattering proportions of the trousers. Yuck.
I love her relaxed chic look. And the fuchsia socks adds that pop of colour needed for this outfit as the colours are pretty much dull. One must have lots of confidence to wear those socks! I am loving her look!
how does this happen!? her pants don't even fit right, but she's still like "jaja i'm so cool." effortless. why don't pants look like this on me when I wear them like that?
A fashionista pretending to have invented something and pulling it off because the look suits her very slim build and she's having a good time. I bet this she was wearing stilettos and a big expensive bag a year ago. Interesting how brogues have become the riposte to all those killer heels.
She's doing a similar look with the socks and kind of shoes as the gentleman in the yellow socks above. I wonder if they know each other. :)
I love it. I am seriously considering going out and finding some amazingly colored socks to incorporate into my look now.
She definitely has the right frame to pull off this look; I'd say that most people wouldn't be able to wear pants this way, but they sit on her hips very well. I wonder how they would fall if her hands weren't in her pockets.
Anyway. Great look. Again… I need to go to Italy. I love how nonchalant Italian fashion can be. :)
I'm with Chri, a classic case of gorgeous woman ghastly clothes, they look bad on her so no way they gonna look good on a normal person!…ok when I say 'they' I am talking the trousers…her 'boyfriend' is a minor?
There are a lot of brogues on this page. Well happy about this as I have three pairs. One in black, one in brown and a light pink pair that I wore all last spring. I prefer to wear them with a sixties style mini dress though as opposed to the full masculine look.
Although this woman is beautiful and well dressed. You seem to be in a rutt with the continual usage of cropped/rolled trousers as the defining piece of an individuals style. Although this is a key trend it would be nice to see a shift in focus.
She looks wonderful as usual…the shoes have been in style for a while..i got a pair in Padova, italy from a company named frau.. the socks are so in..but i will have to say Jcrew has started the pop of color awhile ago with colored anklets..isnt she the girl from Vogue//the editor//name begins with V…im heading to italy end of feb.cant wait to see all the styles..great job with all pics!
i don't like it aside from her naked beauty. if she pulled the front of the pants against the resistance of the belt it wouldn't look so sloppy. i dressed this way in high school, 1994ishwise

3 mini trends have emerged:
inky navy, attention to the ankle area and a hit of bright colour.
these trousers work because of the narrow fitted sweater…but that pop of fuschia saves the outfit completely.

I think the socks give it a splash of color in there. But yeah, I would've chosen a darker hue of that fuchsia.

I guess for less slim people a longer length (and neutral socks) would be more flattering – on her it's perfect this way!

Alas, a quizzical study in the art of fashion photography.
