from the angle of the shot, he looks to be wearing a skirt…if so, ROCK ON!
My husband has finally done what he’s always wanted to do and added skirts to his wardrobe! Not only kilts, mind you…he’s got a great CDG black quilted A-line, for instance. I can’t wait to show him this image of a fellow traveler!
Um, am I the only one who thinks he looks like he was just discharged from a psych ward (minus the face/earrings/wine glass, which are fab).
I’m all for white on white — after all, it’s the biggest summer trend — but the bottom half of this just doesn’t work for me :-/ Props to his originality!

Mmmmm. Very interesting. Not one to judge but… the little white bag seems a little too little. The guy seated has a certain look on his face, but then, what is he wearing on his bottom half? Love this photo!
Kanye´s cousin just couldn´t stop telling his friends how good it felt to feel like a real woman. This has nothing to do with clothing but about an eccentric little girl trapped in a boys body who ran away to join the fashion circus. There I addressed the elephant in the room. Let the rebuking begin!
Certainly bold, but I’m not loving this outfit. It is bold yes, but way to obvious, screaming you into the face bold with the earring and everything. Subtle elements make a way more lasting impression!
I agree. I admire his confidence in wearing a dress (I have a few myself, as well as a variety of skirts). But that confidence does not equate to style. He hasn’t pulled it off here. The bag is too petit, the earrings too garish, and the trainers too bland. Plus the all white thing doesn’t do it for me and his hair is too immaculate. The only interesting part of his outfit is the jacket with the multiple cords detail. Take that jacket and the dress as a base and start again…
Hey Scott, did you told the guy to shave? If he wants to look like a girl, it’s ok, but someone should tell him, that girls shouldn’t wear hair on their legs.
It’s beautiful and above all, hygienic. Also, not ridiculous.
It’s not the whole point. It’s you’re point that you’re assuming the subject would agree with. You’re probably right, but it’s also kind of silly to see a cropped photo out of any context and assume you understand what this man is trying to “communicate” with his outfit. I mean I guess we have a certain trust in the Satorialist that he’s not going to bother posting a bullshit photo, but for all you know the man was paid to wear that outfit for an event.
I don’t think he’s trying to look like a woman at all. It’s like when a woman wears menswear-inspired looks – he’s wearing a womenswear-inspired look. Still masculine but with nods to the feminine. I like it!
I wish I could see this from another angle. Here it looks a bit like he is wearing a bathrobe. It looks comfortable, though. I’ll give him that. Nothing wrong with a man in a dress, or with hair on the legs of a man or woman. But even if we’re towing the line of convention, if a man doesn’t need to shave to wear shorts, why should he for a skirt or a dress?
It looks not quite right. The garment under the jacket is ok, but would look better styled longer, and lose the jacket, which makes it look like a sweatshirt was grabbed at the last minute. Purse could look ok, cross body. What did the shoes step in? Not the best logo placement.
Sometimes these great events at Kenzo and whatnot seem to create this “who will get shot by the photographers the most competetition”.. Correct me if im wrong, but i bet this isnt his everyday wear. This is only because its Kenzo. Let the fair ladies do the skirt business :-) And scots.
Not my cup of tea, but bold i must admit. Very :-)
Looks very comfortable. However, I would chuck the little purse and add some color. The problem is when wearing a skirt or dress like this, is where to put one’s stuff. I would use a canvas postal bag, medieval style leather pouch, or something similar.
The concept of long sweatshirt has been explored with Thuggies, but they really have bold colors.
