Why should she wear heels/ wedges? Ugh some people really do take themselves seriously. You don’t know if she was just coming from her hotel room for a little bit of fresh air or just swam in the pool etc.

It is refreshing to see someone who looks like she didn’t really put in that much thought into her outfit but you can see she has her own style and is confident. I love it! And thank goodness I can see she has a booty! Love that even more. She’s absolutely beautiful.

I really appreciate these Miami photos- not necessarily because of the way the subjects are dressed but because you seldom capture curvy women in your pictures. I think that’s something HUGE that you’re missing out on. I am a curvy person but can never compare to most of the pictures you post on your blog because most of the people tend to have a ‘normal’ body type, although the way they dress is very unique and beautiful. I would love to see you capture more curvy women- and not just in Miami!

In response to the first commenter: in Florida, short shorts reign supreme. And they’re not always flattering… But in weather that hot, anyone can wear shorts, providing they’ve got the legs to make them look good!

I love this girl!

I love the combination with the blue and yellow offset against that crisp white. However, I think the thing I love the most is that she’s not trying too hard.

She’s just wearing flip flops that, correct me if I’m wrong, don’t appear to be particularly flash or expensive. She really looks like she has just thrown on this outfit to chill out by the beach, not to impress anyone, and yet she has still ended up looking incredibly stylish.

That is real style- Being able to carry any outfit like this, regardless of the components.

Wow, she’s gorgeous! *Love* that she has a figure, and that the perfect fit and high waist of her shorts prevent their length from looking sleazy (as a similarly short pair of frayed “daisy dukes” would).

@ Natasha, she really looks perfectly appropriate for where she is. its an outdoor cabana bar. If she wore this outfit to a PTA meeting, it would be immodest. But in many resort type areas wearing a swim suit and a coverup is perfectly standard. I think the sporty top makes the shorts look very tame. And the higher waist adds to the sporty look. Beautiful, sexy, but not in the least immodest. I think the real test of what is immodest needs to be answered for everyone for her/himself. If YOU feel classy in any outfit, wear it. If you feel exposed in any outfit, don’t wear it. No matter what anyone else says. Stay in your own comfort area. Discussions are useless, even harmful, IMHO.

This has such a great vintage feel to it. This is certainly one of the more experimental and charming outfits I have seen. The high waisted shorts and turban make it exotic, and the bright colors make it into the modern. Now that is well done.

That’s not a turban, that’s a scarf. The blue thing. Anyway, I thought it particularly interesting where in the back right side of the photo there are two gentleman, out of focus and using a composition notebook. Then, with the woman peering over her shoulder, mere-center-shot, lit with clothes and light, is using a MacBook.
