I’m dying for these all-leather New Balance 991 that I saw in the window at Eral55 in Milan.
I heard from the New York store on Fifth Ave. that they were a limited-run shoe and will back in stock soon.
Anyone have more info on these?

Hi Scott- They are from “Made in the UK” collection and could be available now on some shoe store websites or New Balance web sellers. I saw one pair the other day on ebay for about $132 US.

Are they for working out? Definitely not a sartorial look.

Ciao Sart,
I do not love very much trainers on men (even in woman!) i think they are made for sport . The world is full of beautiful shoes!!! But if you need it for work i can recommend you a very beautiful pair of Hogan(the best for work and walk), i am sure that if you tryed your “personaly” write my to thanks me for the advice!!!. This model is not Sart style…

I love The Sartorialist but in all honesty, these are what I would expect my gym teacher to wear: weird, “sporty”, alien-looking shapes, uninteresting use of contrast, and just overall boring.
Wouldn’t wear them.

I’m sorry but they are plug ugly as is all sportswear off the track and field. It just gets appropriated by the low life types. I know that is not nice but we all know it is true . . .

What people think of me, is actually none of my business. I like sneakers, and that is all that matters.

I feel your pain. Like the sneakers, be the sneakers . . .

Be yourself. If you go around judging people by what they wear, then life must be one lonely and pathetic event for you.

I got into trainers about 4 yrs ago and never looked back especially because my last job required standing all day in dress shoes (sneakers not forbidden). I love NB but its very difficult to find my size ( 11.5). The 11 is too small and the 12 are usually too big. I love those blue ones shown. Will be hunting them down.

I would avoid these. Sneakers are a style language of the very young.

They’re pretty sweet because they look vintage. But I thought the only people in Europe who wear sneakers are hokey American tourists?

I have to disagree. They are kind of ugly. Sneakers are rarely designed for wearing.

A decent look when it comes to a casual attire athletic shoe. But as a fashion statement, not so much. I think NB should have done themselves a design favor and not have outlined the “N” in white.

Look since when is ones personal style supposed to please other individual, if a hundred years you would of been told that a woman would be wearing pants in public you would of called that person dum, it would ruin the whole aesthetic of what people during that time frame did. When Coco made manly looking clothes for men people taught that was stupid. Sneakers, especially New Balance provide comfort yet incorporate craftsmanship. You have to learn to appreciate a product for its history and what it brings to the table. Plus I’m not saying sneakers will replace ur go to dress shoes, but I can tell u for sure you’ll see a lot more dudes rocking the crap out of them in the future!

Firmament stock a very similar model, slightly different 991, same colour way, unfortunately not the same use of material. Good luck hunting for these though, I’ve never seen the ‘all leather’ model like the one you photographed
