I have seen it work well more often then not. And fashion rules are very frustrating, and seem to have gotten a second wind from all the “What not to wear” types of programs out there. I find them all equally wretched and would like to see them ridiculed out of existence.
On a completely different thought; Its very nice to see sexy guys who are not twenty years old.
Is the vest on the left denim? Doesn’t really look like denim…and the shirt definitely isn’t (it’s chambray). Still, photo on left is great example of playing in one color family and making it work really well.
This is a style I typically stay away from. It’s a no-win/no-lose situation depending on how you look at it. People who have to match denims are never satisfied; people who like to clash denims are perceived as not caring or noticing that they clash. What’s the rule on this? http://lordashbury.com
Great to see people breaking so-called rules. People who dress by following such rules as ‘no double denim’ are missing the point completely. Fashion sets rules, style has no rules. Being in fashion does not mean that you end up looking stylish, far from it. I’ve often seen people who are way out of fashion yet very chic, very stylish. Break the rules!
