I like this a lot, but I find it a bit off-putting that a person feels the need to inject some LV in order to pull off the look. It’s just not necessary, in my opinion, to spend that kind of dough to look like this. In fact, I think it detracts from the authenticity. I much prefer thinking that this guy had the patience and eye to troll the vintage racks and have the pieces perfectly tailored, rather than spending an afternoon droping wads of money at Saks…

making statement is not how it seems like. mixing vintage is cool but one needs ti make sure that its not becoming too old and museum-like.

This guy really pulled together the look that Jacobs projects. As far as great army surplus, EBAY!

Absolutely love that coat. The way it hugs his upper thorax. The inner lining is gorgeous. I want one, NOW.

“slowspin” is a jealous hater who probably cant afford nice clothes. anyway the coat is vintage with a new lining put in and the scarf was a gift. and nobody shops at saks you retard, get a clue.

Why shouldn’t he buy whatever he likes wherever he likes? Thats what authentic means to me. Not spending all your time looking for clothing or getting it tailored. Slowspin is proof that no matter how cool something is someone will try to find something wrong with it.

The jacket looks german. But there has been a lot of tailoring.
It looks like the old version of the army moleskin jacket. Google ‘moleskinjacke alte art’, normally there is no zipper and no lining?…(my english is not good enough for this). It is (was) a plain narrow waisted jacket that bleeds out with every wash. When new they look like any other army stuff, the more you (hot) wash them and expose them to sun light, the lighter and greener the color will get. I prefer that. Nice piece with a denim jacket underneath or with a white shirt and some nice jeans. Kinda ‘grounds’ the outfit.

I don’t care so much about his clothes, but… those eyes. Does anyone know if this fellow is a model?
