These photos sow why I both like and dislike John Varvatos.

I like him because this is how I typically dress anyway (actually, I swear that I own that hoodie outfit already, and wear it regularly. And I have a military style cap fetish), and the pieces are in general well made, so come sale time, when I can actually afford designer stuff, buying his stuff is a no-brainer.

I dislike him for the same reason. His collections seem to be on repeat, and it’s been a while since I saw something that really inspired me to do something a little different.

Great photos though.

Varvatos shoes are beautiful and interesting. I rarely feel that way about his ready-to-wear. Like DKNY for middle-aged men with pot bellies.
