Bruno has been shooting fashion week for over 40 years, and only three years ago did he switch to a digital camera.
In a current media world that appears to be focused more and more on how quickly unnecessary images and news can be presented, Bruno is that throwback guy. He actually takes his time fine tuning his runway shots, producing a sophisticated image rather than spewing out junk. While we’re constantly told that things need to be faster, faster, faster, I love that some people can still make a living on refined, quality images.

Scott, would you ever shoot film? I would love to see what you do with a 4×5 or 6×7 format camera.

Thank you for sharing him. I often wonder if there are still people like Bruno in the world. I’m glad there are. I hope to have an excellent career as he does in photography.

WOW, he sounds like an amazing man and using older cameras and still getting amazing shots does show how great of a photographer he is. If you get a chance check out my blog, I have interesting fashion posts you might love to read.

Great shot of someone who is usually on the other side.
I sometimes work with a photog who shoots with film. The first time I heard the film roll up I got a shock – it was just such a long time since I heard that whirring… Eventually it dawned on me that shooting with film made him to be more resourceful and selective, perhaps an even better photographer. Forcing his skills to improve through old fashioned practices is something to aspire to.

Scott, there is 2 kinds of people on the pit, photographers and tourists, the photographers, we all produce a quality image one way or another…the tourists are the one who are spewing out junk…all the time….Bruno is a legend and a gentleman of the pit and so is another gentleman by the name of Chris Moore…

This is so inspiring. I love when people take care and labor over their work rather than trying for a fast turnaround. Really wonderful. And he looks so kind, too. Go Bruno!

I also like that some things stay focused and slow. I didn’t know Bruno before but I guess he understands the essence of luxury: Time passes and luxury refines.

YES! I shoot primarily film and it’s always nice to learn of people who think about photography in “the film way”. Meditative, measured, with restraint, patience. With joy, not fury.
