I’m not an adept of yellow but this one is so soft it could complement lots of other colors like the center photo with the dark olive of the skirt and the red of the shoes, very elegant together.

Does anyone think that LV put her personal initials on the bag or did she get it done after the fact, I have not a personalized LV bag before. Has anyone else?

Didn’t like ‘this’ backward cardi when originally posted. still don’t.
If it were fitted and worn reversed, (like was often done in 50′s to midish 60′s), i’d probably like it.
…This from a woman who wears her collarless pullover tops backwards.. all the time! I love a batteau(sp Garance?)/ballet/boat neckline… flattering on most women…and wearing a pull over reversed is easier than finding that rare cut…. and wearing ‘frontward’.

I have to agree Annabella. I was just thinking a long cardigan is the wrong type of sweater to wear backwards, but then again it is very 90′s. Great tip on flipping a pullover into a bateau. Never thought to do that!

It works. In fact when i’m trying on a top at a store…i always size it up first to be sure I can wear it backward for that batteau neckline. Sometimes it will leave me with a V or U ncek on my back…but often i like that look too. And i frequebtly get compliments on the batteau neckline….and questions as to where I bought it/what brand. I don’t let the tags bother me, i either pin down with a teeny pin that is not noticeable, or if tag is too large i cut it out., sometimes I wear a long necklace to the waist or a bit below, and that too is flattering against the bateau neckline.
I had a mastectomy long ago, and anything V or U in the front shows too much…so besides loving the bateau neckline, it’s a stylish, flattering solution to a challenge as well! Give it a try from your tops at home. would love to know how it works for you, Colony. …and thanks for posting!

I was obsessed with this mustardy yellow as a child. My mum would always tell me “No, it’s hideous!” and refuse to buy me anything in the colour.
Now I can buy it and I feel like it’s almost a form of rebellion when I wear it. It is ugly… But that’s sort of the point.
I feel like these women are sort of doing the same, rebelling against what colours are considered “okay” (i.e black) by wearing mustard yellow!

I love my Mustard yellow cardi! I’ve got my eye on a polka dot Equipment blouse to go with it. Loving the monogrammed LV, did they start doing that to compete with Goyard or have they always done the stripes??

Yes! This shot was the first time I had ever seen anyone wear a cardigan backwards, which has since become one of my favorite styling tricks. It virtually doubles your cardigan options and makes for memorable exits…

Just got back from a conference in Copenhagen where I saw these same shades of yellow on a lovely scarf worn by a beautiful woman at Tivoli. It was so striking against all the dark colors she was wearing, but she did NOT look like a bumble bee. It was this autumn-squash colored yellow, that was not orange. Yellow is a difficult color to pull off, but perhaps this hue is just right. I was amazed she did not look “sick” but rather vibrant, proving how a simple accessory goes a long way. I do adore the shoes in the third picture.
