I feel like plaid has been in fashion all along, just transferred to different audiences. For example, the hipster crowd has been all over it, and now it seems to be transitioning back into couture. I love the first picture because I will always appreciate a woman who isn’t afraid to be luxurious and sumptuous. Beautiful.
The woman in the middle is gorgeous. I love the menswear-inspired fit and hat accent. The contrasting background color and her blazer really makes her stand out.
Is the appeal of the lumberjack-type plaids (as above) mostly an American thing, do you guys think? I know some of the commenters who like the look are not American. But I don’t think it’s too big here in Australia, where I’m not sure it would have any lumberjackish association — it would just look Scottish maybe.
I’m always so envious of women who can pull together a look with plaid without looking like a lumberjack of sorts…
Will be looking back to these pictures for some motivation and inspiration for my next attempt!
Love all three of these plaid looks, but the plaids I really love are those with lots of subtle colors, where the interweaving of one color with another makes unexpected transitions.
Whether a dress, jacket, or skirt, plaid pattern is always my favorite winter fashion. Paired with over-the-knee boots, I feel I am the prettiest and sexiest lady in town! :D
Ooh! I have that exact same jacket in the second picture! Picked it up at a thrift shop in Australia. I wore it during our winter that just passed. Was never entirely sure if it was awesome or un-cool or both… Your picture has affirmed it to be the former and her styling is perfect.
