Recently, I have been intrigued to try tall socks next spring/summer… should I? or will I look like a boy that goes to a preppy private kindergarten that costs more than university tuition…. only time will tell…. :)
I can think about them all I like but since we’re coming up to a blistering australian summer, that’s all I can do – otherwise my feet will be writing letters of protest to their local member for parliament.
Mind you, if I could do it and look like the woman in the first pic, sans fag, I’d let my toes do their worst and just go for it.
I love long socks, and wear them often – but slimming to the legs (@Ciara)? Hell no! I have pretty big calves and they look bigger with the knee socks, but I just love the way they suit an outfit so I do it anyway…
Tall socks is a great accessory, in some cases it can look ridiculous. Great shots in your collage but don’t see a pair of socks that I would buy.

Cool knee socks & shoes were the one way we could individualize our junior high Catholic school uniforms. Loved ‘em. I think I like the bottom left photo best because it reminds me of one of my favorite sock-shoe combos from that time.
My knees are too old, but the woman in the third picture, the one that is wearing a brown jacket, can easily be seen as incredibly stylish in a pair of knee high socks
I LOVE SOCKS !! hate tights…. I will wear tall socks until it is freezing outside… or snow on the ground… My boyfriend says I look a little school-girlish sometimes though.. have to be careful how I wear them/style them. Its not easy to find cute socks either. My favorite brands are antipast and alto.

Slouchy socks, along with scarves, are another obsession. I like to layer my socks too, combining different textures and tones.
