Spring is the absolute best time of year. The new, lighter fabrics. The colours. The mirage of more sunlight!
The shirtdresses are sexy, but can really be done in wrong with carelessness. Good footwear and wrist swag is important!

I agree! The first one is way too pajama-like and big and either needs to be a different size (like the 4th photo) or have a belt (like #2 & #3) to bring it under control. Other than that they are great!

Exactly. Good thing that the pictures here show great silhouettes! I love it WITHOUT the belts. The belted ones are OK. But I think that the ones left to move with the body, and show the legs but not the waits are so much more chic.

True. There is so much leg shown, that you don’t need to add to it, to make it more feminine or sexy. It should look careless and relaxed. The first one is extremely sexy. It’s really a statement.

Exactly. Unless you are VERY young (under 16), not a good look if people think you forgot to put on your pants. I don’t care how good your legs are!

Whenever I try to wear a shirtdress or oversized sweaterdress, everyone ALWAYS asks me if I forgot my pants or if I’m wearing shorts under. Doesn’t matter how deliberate it looks or what kind of belt or not. The price of living in small-town hippieville, I guess.

Gosh, am I the only one? This is so not ok in my book, unless you are literally at a beach. I’m sorry, it just looks like they forgot half their clothes! And I swear I’m not usually conservative or prudish in any way, but this is actually kind of nuts to me!

I remember seeing the photo of a lady in a pink shirtdress for the first time on your blog. It reminded me of one of the episodes of SATC in which Carrie wore Big’s shirt after their unplanned swimming session in the pond. So sexy.

I’m happy that the three women wearing just shirts (not shirtdresses) are happy but I’ve seen a lot of it in my warm-climate city and over-disclosure is very easy and not what I want catching my eye!

Personally, Spring fashion is up there with Autumn.
It can vary so much depending on the perspective you have either on the weather or time.
As for these looks, I think it’s very sexy… Maybe a little too sexy… Or is there no such a thing?
The brown look is very flattering if you’re worried about not being able to show if your figure. But there’s something so cool about just the fact that you’re waiting a big shirt. Kind of intimate!

The bottom two are perfect, I like how one paired it with heels and the other sandals, and I think both looks great. Not sure about the top right though. I think to carry this off well you really must find the perfect length for the dress shirt. Too short and its a complete disaster!

My sisters did these in the 1970′s with Dior men’s night shirts- cut like a

Shirtdresses are a comfy option, but for me they always seem very incomplete, like the pink one in the pic. It seems all over the place, and for people like me who love clean cuts and structure, it’s plain bad! However, navy blue girl with her gorgeous hair looks nice and chirpy!!

The lady in the bottom left corner pulls this look off best to me. With what is essentially supposed to be a casual style, it’s important that you don’t look like you’re trying too hard. Plus the belt is key and the proportions of the shirt are such that she doesn’t lose her shape. Not an easy look to pull off but she does a wonderful job of it.
