Yes, I like their individual styles…seem to match their individual expressions. The first is my favorite though, as though she’s been waiting for something so important for way too long. Lovely.

I’m not particularly fond of shiny tights, or tights at all for that matter. But they are not pants, and just shouldn’t be worn that way (i’m looking at you, last picture, even though I’ve seen worse. Much, much more worse examples than this). It look like you forgot something very important when you got dressed in the morning… a skirt or something.. or just your decency. It just an odd look, but not in the inspiring or surprising way.. just odd.

I totally agree. In fact, I’ve walked behind women who wear tights alone and seen how sheer they can be and, in any case, the ‘jelly bottom’ look is not attractive….

they remind me too much of the days when I was a gymnast and dancer- we wore shiny tights, so i always think these people are just off to a dance class! I think it works well on these three if the leggins are not too shiny- but i see so many girls wearing them with no taste at all. i don’t think these are easy to pull off, the these three have great legs for them. thanks for the posts that make us think about the way we see ourselves and others.

no one should ever be thinking about shiny tights. tights are not pants, they do not look good on their own, unless you have an incredibly fit ass, and if you do wear them with an incredibly fit ass, you are showing off, and no one likes a show off.

When I think about shiny tights..I usually snicker.
And when I see someone wearing them? 9 times out of 10 it’s someone who shouldn’t be.
This is a ‘proceed with caution’ trend in my opinion. extreme caution.

The wedges in the middle picture are BEAUTIFUL! It’s a shame that shiny pants are being slightly over-done due to many high-street chains reproducing American Apparel’s ‘Disco Pants’ at a much more affordable price point.

in the third one, the young woman stands in my street, and actually in front of my door, this rue de Sévigné in Paris’ 3rd district, near by the wonderful shop down my appartment called “le Comptoir de l’image” :) love my street, love this shop (and L’Eclaireur too!) and love your photos, i’ve been following you for 5 years with the same admiration
