I recognize most of these photos. I love horizontal stripes and have many tops like “marinieres.”
The top left photo and the bottom right on the first panel are my favorites.
I love the 2nd and last photo on the second panel.
My daughter has forbidden me, on pain of death, from buying any more stripes. She tells me the washing line after I’ve done a wash is like a nautical nightmare. But I don’t care! I shall carry on regardless.
I love this series. The only thing that would make it even better (I think) is for each picture to have a bigger space so that they can be seen more clearly.
Ooh thankyou, I can’t tell you how much I love these posts! I can feel a book coming on with these spreads too!? :-)
For some reason it makes all the looks more accessible and applicable to my daily outfit inspiration, the sheer number of photos you post often means a favourite look can get lost before I have a chance to bookmark!
So with that I am off to put on my breton top and with some blue skinny’s and oversized wool camel blazer.
I like singular photos taking up the whole page. They are powerful and focus on the individual. It is fashion portraiture.
I don’t come to this site to see “trends” that many people are wearing at the same time. Do away with this new type of “If you’re thinking about” post please.
Two things, Scott – when replying directly to someone’s comment, it would be nice to see their comment above the LEAVE A COMMENT box (as opposed to directly over top), because as I type this, it’s hard to remember exactly what I’m reply-commenting on. That being said, what I like about the new feature is just seeing variations on the same theme – whether you’re really posting trend or not, it’s a great way to see different ways to wear something all of us likely have .. so with that in mind, I love it. Thank you.
I’ve always been shy with stripes but I wore a very nice beige and black horizontal striped shoulder bag all summer long and got so many compliments. I might incorporate some in my clothes now…..
Thanks!
I am a big fan of stripes and wore them so much last year that i got tired of it. thanks for posting this as now i want to wear it again :) love the first and third looks..
We are all loving stripes here in the office!
It looks like we have been matching outfits as we are all wearing them!
