Ahh I need one of these shirts! Is it too late in the summer to wear this?

Such a great example of a subcultural trend “trickling up” to influence high fashion. The dude with the bun does it best.

Who knew Hawaiian shirts were coming back! All these stylish people are sure pulling them off though!

Hi. Serious question: for these “if you’re thinking about…” posts, is the suggestion that “if you’re thinking about x then don’t because it’s played out” or “if you’re thinking about x then you’re not the only one/you’re not being original”? That’s the connotation that I get from the phrase.

Interesting read on “thinking about” I have always thought it was “if you’re thinking about….then here are some different ways to play with xyz…as inspiration…”

Funny that different people have such different reaction to that phrase…I hope I’m right because I do get inspiration from them and hope they are not “played out” :)

I never went for the Hawaiian shirts but I do like that accidental appearance of Robert DeNiro during the filming of The Mission in the top right photo.

Yes! This is the first time that I’ve responded YES to your posts, I actually AM thinking about Hawaiian shirts. Not sure why I’ve started this obsession but when my ask my friends their opinion they all give it a thumbs down. I really don’t care though, I’m going for it!

    Great photos, as usual :)

Awesome! I havent think it can be beautiful like this ever before. You made it and people who wore it more distinguishable!!

I am definitely NOT thinking about Hawaiian shirts. None of the beautiful people in these photos can convince me that Hawaiian shirts are cool, and none of them are succeeding in looking cool in Hawaiian shirts. Okay maybe the girl in the cute skirt and heels looks good, but technically that’s not a Hawaiian shirt, it’s a blouse with a tropical print.

So these shirts are back? I was in Hawaii last year and didn’t even see them there except on overweight, middle-aged men from the mainland, who probably wore them at barbeques at home. There’s really nothing wrong with the shirts, it’s the guys who’ve been wearing them for the last decade.
