Wearing my own “green” version today on the blog! Green is my favorite color, but I often hear from people that it’s hard to wear…I think the trick is to think of it as a neutral, and pair it with other colors or even textures. In my post today, I did a green-on-green look but mixed a satin cotton with seersucker, and highlighted with hot pink. It’s a great, happy color, that can look super elegant and chic!
That shade of green looks great with almost every skin tone! Unfortunately the sleeveless part, though I love the look, is not something I can wear anymore, being a “woman of a certain age.” That said, I would love to see you do some features on your blog that show how older women are able to play up their best features while covering what should stay covered. (Oh to be young again when I coulds wear anything … but those days are just a memory now. Still I enjoy looking at the happy young people in your blog, and hope they are enjoying every moment while they have it to enjoy!!)
Like Ladybird before me, I too, cannot understand the idea of a permanent accessory on one’s skin. We are all beholden to fads to varying degrees and they change as assuredly as skin texture does. A fine leather will exhibit a wonderful patina; a finely toned brown arm can do the same without commentary.
I love both of the dresses! I actually have been looking for a green dress, even an olive one. I really like the print of these and the cut as well. I’ll have to keep my eyes open when I visit dress stores. I really like that a lot of the dresses right now can be so functional and easily turned from day to night attire.
