I agree, I love these sweaters – especially under a flowing skirt for winter!
I also have a Vanessa Bruno sweater in this colour on my wish list! http://untrucoudeux.wordpress.com/
The woman on the right is so beautifully nonchalant. I love when laid back pieces (converse sneaks, fisherman’s sweater) can be paired with a chic accessories (hat and sunglasses) and suddenly the outfit becomes something special.
Everything looks better when stolen from my husband, it’s such a cozy feel that it translates into tons of self-confidence. Looking forward to poking around his side of the closet for warm winter knits :)
Love these Aran style sweaters, I have a beautiful hand knit one from after the 2nd world war that my Grand-Mother had. The jumpers, originally from the west of Ireland always had a unique pattern associated with each of the fishing families. If men were lost at sea their bodies would be identified my the unique family knitting pattern. A little sad but very interesting. I love that the style is now so fashionable, beautiful craft is timeless.
They are gorgeous. A great investment and a wonderful pressie for your other half that you can borrow back!! There is nothing quite like the authentic Irish Aran jumper…. Slán agus Beannacht!!!
Definitely agree! Vintage sweaters tend to be higher quality than ones made these days. They also have that lived-in cozy feel to them. Love the picture on the left! Very soft and feminine.
My husband has a fabulous fisherman sweater that he hasn’t worn in – I’m pretty sure – years. It may accidentally..go missing?? I think I need to break it out. :)
I have a fisherman sweater obsession. It has gotten to the point where I would rather go to Salvation Army to find sweater treasures than hit up the mall!

I think I saw something similar with a high neck by Zara. An oversized version with bare legs and heels would be great!
