December is definitely the month in which you can get away with as sparkly and loud of clothing as you want. Tis the season to be shiny.

      • Shiny by choice

        December 8, 2012 at 6:38 pm

I don’t think these outfits in the pictures are in any way Christmas inspired. At least three of them were not taken anywhere near this month. Nor are any of them on the way to a party.
But your comment is so dead on for my aunt its crazy! She does wear shiny stuff for Christmas parties, even if she looks nothing as great as these people. She does look jolly, however.

Ohhh yes, I’m wearing a sequin peplum mini with a statement jumper right now – we should all be making the most of the one month in which we can wear sequins during the day without looking insane!

Love the post with the day sequins to wear to a holiday party! Genius styling.

I saw a woman just today in a sequin covered jean jacket, and I have a co-worker who wears sequins by day all the time — but I feel conspicuous in them. Maybe I needed the inspiration of this post from the Sartorialist to get over myself. If I had that coat with sequins I definitely wear it (every day)!!

“walk of shame”…? I didn’t even know anyone used that term anymore. How quaint. Its OK, though, I think its a not school night.

Poor little sequin. Told it can only come out at night when the only thing it reflects is the artificial light. Thank you brave girls for letting the sequin into the sunlight where it can radiate and reflect that great ball down here on earth. Top right – amazing! Sequins liberated!
