The guy on the right makes it work, but only because the rest of his outfit is so absolutely fantastic that even a pair of creased jeans can’t ruin it.
The left pic should be titled: “How not to dress in public”
unless you can find some old jordache jeans that were dark and press too many times so that the crease is actually a faded line but quit while you’re ahead.
I remember a bit ago you had mentioned something about how a good fit for looser jeans (the women’s style, I guess are ‘boyfriend’ jeans, but didn’t want to be gender-ignorant about what we would call the men’s style of such jeans) would be a snug fit around the hips. The problem with these jeans is that it’s really hard to get them to have a snug fit in the waist and hips and then have them ‘billow’ out in a tapered fit on the leg. I love the woman you show above, for instance, but I can also tell the waist is fitted loosely for her. Debunk for us, please?
Just a pair of oversized higher rise jeans is what they basically are. So the waist doesn’t fit tight. I think she has suspenders. Is that what you are asking? I have seen jeans like this( at topshop), but they are a bit more money then I want to spend (125usd). The cut is called high rise boyfriend and its usually paired with that sort of wash as she is wearing.
While I cannot like the fit, or lack thereof, on the woman’s jeans, I do like the crease. For me it takes the jeans out of “casual”/ And yes, it reminds me of cowboys I have known, and some I wished I had known, in Western bars here and there.
I like the look of the women with the creased denim while still looking like loose denim. it’s pretty contrasting to the idea of all creased denim being stiff
If I could buy those jeans I would. Have been looking about for a pair of high waisted boyfriend jeans that don’t cost over a hundred dollars. That my limit for jeans. I think she looks very pretty.

it does add another dimension to the legs. And I like that 71 woman’s style. Are those suspenders she has too?

All these shades of blue together plus the brown suede shoes work perfectly together.

Old School Fashion: The first creased jeans I saw were the Lee’s worn by b-boys (hip-hop) in the early 80′s.
