Woman on the right in the first picture looks like Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson; second woman reminds of Lenny Kravitz…And that camo, girl, are you Rambo II ?
For God’s sake, when will women start to dress like an elegant lady?
Scott, I thought a little humor would spice it up; as metaphores can be used for caricaturizing things. I wish you didnt judge me the way you did…

Since when are put downs classified as “humor”? And don’t you think a guy that just judged every woman telling other people to not judge him is a bit ironic?

When you put it that way, I’d rather be Lenny Kravitz than just some elegant lady. You make elegant dressing seem like an obligation. Like women ought to dress in a certain way to please men. I’d rather have some personality, than just being a pretty little thing, that you can show off to your friends/co-workers/family/random people at the street.
Didn’t make me laugh either. I just thought somebody uptight posted a rude comment… And I’m from the UK, which is – unfortunately – currently a hot bed of crass humour.
I would love a good look at that mint green coat to figure out the cutting technique. It looks like it should be all wrong, but it’s so all right I’m drooling.
I agree, aninalu.
And thanks to Mr Schuman for calling out those comments (above). Thoughtful criticism of and disagreements about style and aesthetics are one thing… mean-spiritedness is quite another.
I think you get a little cruel against this guy’s comment. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with Bruce and Lenny, both notable guys. Aint the related women trying to look like some well-settled men ? Why perceived as insult ? Many comments here are on “Love this pic, gorgeous” level, feeling like harlequins…Diverse opinions and voices should always be welcome..

Oh my! I think that could be South London’s finest – Julia Sarr-Jamois – an incredibly creative stylist and fashion visionary. It’s hard to tell with the dark glasses but I love seeing the afro hairdo reclaimed and she always looks so fabulously stylish! What a huge talent. They all look like they’re having fun as well which is power for the cause in my book!
Lovely photos! A colorful coat can really bring a smile on a dreary winter/almost spring day :-) My orange car coat has done that for me for several years. Loved hearing my daughter tell me that she spotted me across the quad on a campus visit.
I ordered an off the rack orange coat last summer and was initially disappointed by its sorbet hue (I was expecting a more brilliant orange and I suspect that is why it was such a great deal), but I’m glad I kept it because it feels right now.
Favorite lady, Giovanna, keeping it simple here with the splash of color. (Come to think of it, this might be her version of a relaxed day–who says you need sweats!)
1) Tall blonde on the right – that’s how to wear the oversized coat … as opposed to the previous pic of the woman being swallowed whole in it.
2) I love the feminine take on men’s inspired apparel – the pink overcoat, the shoes. The woman on the right is also wearing a woman’s take on menswear … but a touch severe. Then I saw the shoes and gasped. Wow!
3) One of the only times I see Giovanna and think, “hey – that’s almost an outfit even *I* could pull off! So I didn’t gasp. But I still love her style as revealed in this photo.
Its Aurora in first pic isn’t it? I like her No make up style. I also love to see Giovanna in flats, also love her hat and the fact that for the first time she looks like a normal woman :) in her 40 ( I don’t know her real age ) But I don’t like framing in any of these pics, but maybe Scott is trying something new here?
You know Scott, on a completely unrelated topic, I would love to see Julia Jamois with her hair swept back so we could see that lovely face of hers…just an idea. x
The 2nd photo is brilliant. The long pink coat, the hair combined with men inspired pants and shoes are perfect. She doesn’t need a scarf of jewelry with that great head of hair.
I love that kind of hair too. Its too bad that you can’t do your hair that way in many offices though. At least not here in the Midwest. Too wild for them, I guess.
The coats are nice…but overall style in the first and last pic kind of kills the essence of a woman especially with the colour combination. Last time at the shopping mall- the kinds of colours you see together this spring is so terrible I probably wont buy anything. I think, drug induced mental asylum is the overall theme they agreed on…
These are all beautiful and unique coats. The fashionable yet practical styles look even better with the unique and warm shoes paired with them! Another trendy cold-weather option is Fiorentini+Baker’s 713 Eternity Mid-Shaft Boot in olive suede. This practical and stylish option will only enhance the look of your coat!
