Usually I would agree with you, but I have to say the outfit on the left looks so Parisian chic! I love it, and the haircut adds some androgeny to it which is the perfect touch! http://untrucoudeux.wordpress.com/
I, personally, have a pair. But I’m not too fond the outfits pictured. Too plain and safe. Need to needs some statement pieces to add some edge and make it interesting.
This post makes me sigh. Just last week i’ve torn my baggy khakis which brought me through “summer” (Germany) with flats or heels, tanks or blouses but always with a cool belt.
Oooh! Yes! I have a too-big pair of Gap khakis (everything at the Gap fits two sizes larger then average…what gives!?) and now I know what to do with them. Awesome.
Nope. The combination of stiff fabric and baggy cut does nothing for the girls pictured. Clothes need to fit the figure (somewhere) or suggest the figure, these do neither.
I’ve been a huge fan of baggy khakis for a long time. It’s the best summer staple, not just for the hike in Yosemite. Can be easily dressed up with a smart shirt or blazer, or the classic combination with stripes. Love all three pictures. Have them all already in my “Sartorialist Inspiration Folder” :)
I really like the style of Eva and Alessandra, who really infuse their own personlity into daily style, and look totally different people with eah photo you post.
Been a long time without seeing them @ your blog.
It’s really nice you pick their old phots into “If you are thinking about…”

The outfit on the right is so beautifully put together, and her haircut is perfect for the look! It makes me happy to look at this photo. I wish I could find baggy khakis like hers!

Reminds me that flat-front loose khakis [left] might be easier to work than the pleated fronts.
