I love how you’ve managed to capture the elegance of the setting in each picture. The portrait of the boat looks so idyllic its fit for a postcard.

I’d guess it’s ‘Consul’ Weyer, not exactly an aristocrat but adopted and part of the jet set probably with everybody rolling his/her eyes :-)

I used to love Portofino.. The Golfo del Paradiso is gorgeous. But then one day it became..awfully snobish?!

I don’t ask for much really.

I just want to work at that shop, creating displays, and live in a little apartment overlooking that marina where my attentive and handsome boyfriend and I will enjoy cooking pasta and sipping wine. I will wear linen and espadrilles and delicate sweaters, the soft salty breeze will make my curly hair toussled and sexy, I will be serene.

Yes, I can’t believe it. It’s Consul Weyer. I am German and in the 80′s he was in every talkshow you like see or not…anyway: Nice shots, wonderful old fashioned. I smell a hint of Signoricci by Nina Ricci.

Sitting here in hot, humid Rome. I haven’t made it up the coast yet but I plan.

thats my fave part of the world, my nonna lives in rappallo (2 towns south)….i think so many of the little costal towns in liguria are so beautiful and full of amazing views.
next time your there , go to rapallo. there is a fab old hat shop and a toy shop that used to be a clothes shop in the 60′s. the old lady who owns it never got rid of her old pre-toy stock, if your nice she will take it all out and let you buy pieces.
they all still have the tags on….witch sounds boring but the graphics and logos are very cool.

Btw, Konsul Weyer and his wife are extremely friendly – I sometimes met them in Bonn-Bad Godesberg because the use to shop in the same supermarket and had a parking spot in the same garage my little humble Panda lived. Superfriendly to everybody they come across and always very stylish, a little bit too much sometimes for Tuesday mornings … ;-)

I’ve been to Cinque Terre, but not Portofino. However, the other 4 cities are amazing.
